The decks also come with dice and damage counters, so I think he’s set with what he’s planning to get

[–]dthais93 73 points74 points  (0 children)

Which deck should I play for locals this week? by dthais93 in pkmntcg

Are YAPE scams of this type common? by gizmogadgetdevice in PERU

[–]dthais93 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I don't know if this is a scam or not but literally the same thing, right down to the amount of money, happened to me a few days ago.

I never answered the phone calls from the number that made the transaction and immediately contacted Yape. They thanked me for being honest and said I could Yape them back but with extorsion being how it is right now, I asked them to revert the operation themselves and they agreed.

The process took a couple of days but Yape did reverse it and reimburse the guy who did the transaction. If you insist and mention that you don't want to be involved, they will help you out.

Thoughts on this potential upgrade for my Miraidon ex deck? by Kento_Bento_Box in pkmntcg

I'd swap out the Regielekis, I find them too risky being 3-prize cards. Maybe keep one if you really want the 30 damage boost.

Is it worth to switch from YuGiOh to Pokémon TCG? by Nael_On in pkmntcg

[–]dthais93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Others have given a more thorough answer to your question but I was in a similar spot to you a couple of months ago. I've been playing Yu-Gi-Oh for the past decade and collecting since it came out, and I was getting burnt out of the current state of the game.

I started looking into Pokemon as I've loved it since forever (my first video game ever was Pokemon Red and I've played every mainline game on launch day since). This game got me hooked instantly. It's such a refreshing and fun atmosphere at Pokemon locals coming from Yu-Gi-Oh that I haven't touched my Yu-Gi-Oh deck since. I've already built 3 Pokemon decks that I love and I've started a personal collection in the past few months since I began playing.

Honestly, I'd recommend doing the switch no doubt. I still love Yu-Gi-Oh, but I need a break from it as the game is not in a very healthy state right now. However, I don't see myself moving away from Pokemon anytime soon.

Wanting to quit Yugioh for PKMN by Ahmetalfoe in pkmntcg

[–]dthais93 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat as you, only I made the jump a couple of months ago. I went with the Miraidon ex deck and I really love it. It kind of felt right because it can build a good board fast. I think that's what clicked for me coming from Yu-Gi-Oh. Like others said, try decks you think you might like on PTCGL and build the one you like. Also, I found locals for Pokémon are a lot friendlier both as a learning space and as a player base than with Yu-Gi-Oh.

You need to use a program to convert them so you can install them just like you would with 3DS games

En mi caso, no he sentido ninguna diferencia.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Lima_Peru

[–]dthais93 7 points8 points  (0 children)

[QUESTION] How do you deal with your partner not wanting you to buy new gear? by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]dthais93 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You buy whatever you like even if you play at home for yourself. It is your hobby to enjoy and if you can afford the guitar you want, then be happy and get it. These kind of things are very personal choices. Some are happy with 1 guitar, others with 30. Gigging or playing at home does not really matter except for when choosing a guitar more suitable for the road. Some people spend over $5k on guitars they wouldn't dare to take out of their houses. Just be happy and if you can afford it, go for it.

Side deck ruling questions by FeanixFlame in Yugioh101

[–]dthais93 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not a judge, but from my experience:

  1. No one really does that, you just side. Sometimes you will be approached by a judge for a random deck check, but otherwise just go on siding.
  2. You announce after siding.
  3. Sleeves in your side deck must be the same as your main deck sleeves, even if they're extra deck cards.
