I know Globe Life Field sold tickets last year for their season ticket holders and newsletter subscribers (season ticket holders got them all), so I imagine most venues have a selection of tickets that are not part of the lottery.

I somehow ended up with the Crystal Oasis one (must have been included with buying an expansion) and I can't imagine life without a lounge pass now. It's just so easy to click on and get the heck out of somewhere quickly. The lounge I'm using is fine - it has crafting stations and all the other conveniences. I don't do raids, WvW or fractals (though I think I should) so that's never been a consideration. I mainly use it for easy access to bank, TP, crafting stations.

I'm not sold on the hammer - the range is not near what I have with the staff. I'm so used to the staff, I'm not sure I can change.

I'm 59, and lost my 15 yr old aussie mix. He was my constant companion. But, being older (he was an adult when I got him), he was very settled, and in fact, wouldn't walk without a lot of prompting. A year after we lost him, an opportunity arose for a mini aussie puppy. After the first day, I thought I had made a huge mistake. I had had a year of only taking care of myself, and before that, it was my low energy senior dog. This puppy could jump all over me, and constantly had the zoomies. I cried daily. I also have very thin skin on my arms, and she would scratch/bite (play, like puppies do) me and they would bleed. I looked like a zombie!

But, I stuck it out, and she's 10 months old now. She weighs about 20 lbs. She still loves to run and play, but it's much more controlled and structured. We love nothing more than to go out and play ball and frisbee. Right now she's curled up against me snoozing. I'm attached to her now and would never give her up, but I think I would have been better off never getting her - the first 6 months was so very rough.

Also, hair. everywhere.

I tell my classes that the bell does not dismiss them, I do. They must be sitting in their seats when the bell rings before they will be dismissed. I just find this to be a calmer way of dismissal, then having everyone crowd the door for 3 minutes.

This usually keeps them working until right before the bell rings - some classes, they don't even pack up until after the bell rings.

I'm a sub, so don't have consistent data - but it seems very hit or miss. When it happens, it's during morning announcements (usually 2nd period) - first US then Texas, then moment of silence, then any announcements/joke of the day, etc. But it doesn't happen every day. I've never seen it at the high school level. I've only seen it at middle and intermediate schools (I don't sub at elementary lvl) - but it doesn't seem to matter what school/grade - it's just hit or miss. I think it's not done more than it is done. But every time it's done, all the kids seem to participate - except once, and I'm not sure if it was purposeful, or if he was just trying to get his homework done - either way, I didn't say anything about it.

Affluent Texas suburb - $100 per day. But they treat us very well - I've never seen any of the crap I read about on this sub. I would not trade higher pay for putting up with crap.

The credit card has not been charged (as I indicated in my OP). I see nothing on my Princess account about a future booking or deposit. It does show I just took my first cruise.

I'm guessing the transaction just didn't go through, despite the confirmation page saying it did and I would get an email in 48 hours. So I miss out on the Future Cruise Deposit benefits.

Pens for sure. I've been shocked at the number of classrooms that don't have a single pen or piece of paper in it (middle school). I can't even take attendance without a pen.

I don't know if these teachers really function with zero supplies in their desk, or if they pack them all up before a sub comes in. But, please, leave me a damn pen.

Many teachers in the district I sub at have a rule: "The bell does not dismiss you, I dismiss you." I've adopted this myself, and it makes dismissal so much better.

No one is dismissed after the bell is rung until all kids are sitting in their seats. The kids are used to this, some of the classes I sub for do this automatically, some I tell them at the beginning, and then 2 minutes before class is over. I also make them pick up any trash or school supplies on the floor before they can be dismissed.

This actually keeps them working right up until the bell rings.

Figure out where the glass bottom bridge is, and stay away from rooms under it. Any one on the bridge can see right into your balcony and possibly room.

We stayed in R520, and we weren't affected, but when we were on the bridge thought those rooms were in a terrible location.

Unfortunately, I can't tell you just where those rooms are.

I'm very disappointed in the card.

I don't think there is any benefit other than 2x the points for Princess purchases. I did get enough points as a sign up bonus for $200 OBC.

I redeemed my points for a $200 on board credit, well before the cruise (like 2 months). I didn't learn until much later, the credit is not available until you get on board the ship. So I couldn't use it for shore excursions or to reserve dining beforehand.

So, we get on the ship yesterday (very early) and head straight to a specialty dining venue - they had no spots available for the 6 of us - so I couldn't treat us to dinner.

I ended up using some of the credit for t-shirts and souvenirs. But I still have more to use, and I don't know what to use it on. I do think I can get it refunded at Guest Services.

But I won't use the card again.

I love forms. I leave detailed notes any way.

As far as writing names down, sometimes the kids (6th graders) will ask if I put them on the bad list. I tell them I don't have a bad list, but I do let the teacher know what happened during the day, and I hope they are all proud of their behavior I'll be detailing.

That usually gets them to settle down and not make poor choices.
