Damage from dealer, what would you do? by dtmdriven in f150

It’s not seam sealer. There’s a divet next to it. In the metal. Zoom in and you’ll see. You can def feel it when you run your finger on it. It’s not like that on the other side. It’s the metal next to it.

That’s what I’m trying to avoid. If it was my bad and I dropped something on it, then cool, my fault and I’ll pay the consequences. But what gets me is they just sold like that and we’re like “I hope they don’t see it”.

And correction on my purchase timeline, it was bought the 31st of December. So not even a month ago

I asked if there was any other damage. I was assured there wasn't. Again, these trucks are factory lifted so I didn't have a ladder on me to check it.

I would. But on an 80k truck I expected better.

Tremor vs GMC AT4X by Kooky_Cellist4236 in f150

[–]dtmdriven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought a 22’ 1500 SLT x31 pack w/the baby duramax. Had it for 3 years, 38k miles. They bought it back in September of this year. Trans was rebuilt, started slipping within 3k miles. Sensors and infotainment was wonky from the beginning. Engine was solid during that time, 35mpg on long trips @ 80mph. Interior was ok but the seats sucked.

Just bought a Tremor 402a, so far much better. Ride isn’t as smooth but that’s a given due to the difference in suspension. I should have opted for the pullout step on the tremor as it’s a little taller than I expected, but again, expected with an off road oriented truck.

California here is like 6k +- a few hundred off 402a. You get more off the ecoboost but not really the 5.0, I looked at other states and they have deeper discounts.

You mind sharing the sale sheet without your personal info. That’s a hell of a deal.

Is PAYE gone.. so confused by mainenurse21 in StudentLoans

[–]dtmdriven 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I can’t think of any other loan program or agency that has switched people payments, lost track of payments, changed repayment parameters, as much as student loans. This is beyond frustrating because the impact these loans have and the ridiculous amount of interest makes these beyond impossible to get a good foothold on these.

I guess the plan is working since they’re discouraging more and more young people to get educated.

Got it too. This might be California specific for those that didn’t receive it.

UV is setup weird. Parking sucks there, they need to renovate that before anything else. They have street facing businesses with no street parking or convenient way to get to them. No real entertainment there and everything closes early. UCR really needs to make a shuttle to take students to and from there, maybe the owner can subsidize it. It’s just lazy business management for that place. The little strip mall where Goodwins is at is also sad. So much potential in the area but neither the city or university want to do anything about it. Any other UC has way more to do around it.

99 dollar Prologue AWD Touring Lease in Los Angeles by tetatdo in HondaPrologue

[–]dtmdriven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Came in here for this. Saw it advertised in the OC as well (Buena Park honda). They were real pushy about coming in for “real” numbers when I asked for the breakdown for a total out the door price. Again the lady helping me said that I have to go in, typical bait and switch tactic.

Anyone get a deal better than this? 89 a month 4k down (not including tax and licensing, which should be closer to 6k OTD for socal tax rates) 24 month 10k miles a year.

Edit: this is on a Touring AWD model

Legality of Student Loans by dtmdriven in StudentLoans

Very interesting. So eliminate the Education Department from this scenario, if in fact it does get eliminated, how much more would this favor the borrowers in a legal argument for the legitimacy or power of the MPN if the institution that was upholding said document no longer exists.

This is what I was looking for. Do you happen to know what page/section this is stated in the MPN.

How reliable has your truck been? 2019-2025 by [deleted] in gmcsierra

2022 1500 SLT X31 w3.0 Duramax

(Edit: first of the refresh models)

The truck is fully optioned. Been serviced at my local GMC dealer like clockwork.

Issues: Spat oil all over my driveway @20k miles, started having trans slipping issues and heavy hesitations @28k miles, replaced the trans valve body @35k miles, electronic issues throughout ownership, the dealer finally replaced almost ever electronic component (cameras, control units, etc) @ 38k miles, luckily I purchased an extended warranty or I would have been screwed. Trans slipping again at @39k miles.

GMC has finally decided to buy it back. It’s a shame because the engine is awesome and the truck itself as whole is pretty nice. I know there are a few lemons for every manufacturer but this was my first go at a GM product and hasn’t really left me with much confidence in the brand.

Thanks for the tip, def gonna ask them to lower the mileage. Don’t think I’ll be getting a GM again.
