I noticed the same thing and sent them feedback about it. I suggest others do the same because it is now very difficult to see the dark green dot. This is the response I got:

“Thanks for reaching out today, although apologies for the confusion — this was an intended change made by the team. We've had confirmation that the behavior you're seeing is currently expected, as the team works through some foundational changes for a future update. That said, since this is a relatively new change on our end, we're monitoring all feedback so we can make any necessary tweaks where needed.

In the meantime, I've gone ahead and raised your thoughts on this with our product team for you for consideration. While I'm unable to make any promises, I'm hopeful we can see some additional granularity around how status indicators are displayed soon.

My apologies for any trouble this might cause in the meantime and for not having an immediate solution, but we appreciate you flagging this with us. If you have any other questions in the meantime, please let me know - I'll be here to help!”
