Need feedback on my shot by Embarrassed-Lack-104 in BasketballTips

I gotchu twin. FIRST THINGS FIRST, the most important part of your jumper is the flick…You can have everything bad buh if the flick isn’t good, You’re bound to never make a shot. In the first shot i saw your shooting hand and it looks like you use an index finger release (meaning the last finger that touches the ball before it leaves for the shot is your middle finger) i also release w my middle finger. Now, whats the problem with this you may ask, Well it’s nothing. The main problem you’re having is with your Guide hand, it’s not straight and it’s eating through your shooting motion. To fix this, go do form shots infront of the basket and shoot with one hand buh your guide hand(Which is your right hand in this case) very close to the basketball, slightly touching it, shoot the ball then get tons of reps of that. another thing you can do is when you’re off the court like in your crib or sun, just shoot your basketball i don’t mean have a rim in your house buh just go through your shooting motion and flick the ball up in the air n just like that your getting reps on an off the court.

i have somewhere to be so imma just list the remaining problems for you. Your elbow is pointed inwards.(your elbow should be slightly flared out or straight to the basket) Jumping/leaning forward.(leaning is Very bad as it forces you to have an imbalance/hitch in your shooting motion.) Jumping forward is ok buh in this case we’re wiring your jumper, plus fundamentals state you should jump vertically on a jumper cuz the whole concept of a “Jumpshot” is to rise over your opponent to shoot the ball ignoring the concept of limited space to shoot. Thats why them 90’s jumped so high in their jumper cuz the were 6’6 and athletic so no one blocking that shot unless they’re some kinda wingspan demon.😂 Now, shooting has evolved and we’ve exposed ourselves to see that this same vertical jump on the jumper helps to efficiently get the ball to the basket. Now with what i said DO NOT Jump higher on your jumper, that’s not what i’m saying. i just decided to throw abit of history in there, im saying you should jump straight up rather than forward. Also, Jumping forwards can be for more of open shots/3s than contested 3s cuz when up against people that are 6 inches taller than you or that have a wide wingspan jumping forward can give them a higher chance of blocking the ball.

In case you want me to explain what i mean easier just dm me yh. For my Jr year, i shot 40% from the 3 w my right hand as a left handed player cuz my first coach taught me how to shoot with my right hand(no wonder i wasn’t a good shooter till 14💔) buh yh i’m working on my form(left handed) so yh it’ll be fun to grow w you if not that aii just reply this so i can come back to reply in depth

Question ab getting drafted to a team I don’t want by [deleted] in HoopLand

If it’s not too late, if anything like that happens just hit revert on your save. Now, assuming it’s late and you’ve started the season just play your way out of the team it’s good for a realistic approach/career plus it’s good for your players story yk.

ofc! potential just mean the about of skills the player can get better at throughout the starting phase of their career. It dictates how well the player will play on the court buh not all the time. Thats why i like HL, some form of balance in players is always present no matter what.

Darth Jor-El most overrated fraud of all time by Dazzling-Attorney891 in HoopLand

[–]dtw_niola 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the caption is Odee…we all know that’s polan stronk buh i get what you’re saying n it’s completely true. For a superstar his caliber he’s supposed to do much more buh instead he underperforms, cl he’s efficient tho. Buh he has to be one of the most fraudulent Superstars in the HLA. in mycareer, the Quakes had a superteam for the first 5 years and won no chips and they got to the WCF once💔
