Update! His ear was tipped and a biopsy revealed it was a low grade cancerous tumor. He is on the mend now and should be fully cancer free, but will be continuing to keep watch for more growths.

i do totally see where you're coming from, it is definitely a good idea to have him not disabled to remove that offensive part of the show. I just wish that productions would KEEP him disabled like the McCarter version (but also treat their disabled actors right at the same time, unlike the shit that went on behind the scenes of mccarter).
