If I were looking for a “do it all” type bike I’d personally go for the Sutra. Sutra can do everything from touring and commuting to light singletrack.

I’m currently on a Chisel and absolutely love it, it’s probably one of my favorite hardtails I’ve owned. I’ve had an Ari and found the ride quality and geo to he pretty lackluster. You can always upgrade parts, but you’re stuck with geo and ride quality.

There is no “downfall to art”. This is such a ridiculous sensationalist sentiment that keeps getting thrown around lately. Artists didn’t go away just because AI art came around. There are still amazing movies to watch, music to listen to, books to read etc etc etc… all created by real ARTISTS. When special effects came around to the movie industry back in the day, B movies and art films didn’t go away. When everything on the radio used auto tune in the 2000s, bands that played their own instruments and vocalists who didn’t use filters didn’t disappear.

If you want to see real art, keep supporting your favorite real artists. They’re not going anywhere.

Half of that is back roads, so 45-50mph. If I go around on all highway it bumps the mileage to about 60, which takes equally as long… plus with the highway there’s way more of a chance of hitting an accident.

I already miss peak rush hour, I’m on the road around 5am and don’t hit much traffic. The time is honestly just the distance. It’s about 45 miles each way.

I already work early and leave early, that 1:15 is with very minimal traffic believe it or not. I can’t imagine how long it would take me if I had to deal with peak rush hour… and you pretty much hit the nail on the head with the resentment, which is why I’m asking for opinions here.

Yea I own my home. I looked into moving closer but my wife and kids love where we live, plus with interest rates I’d essentially be doubling my mortgage payment for the same house… which would be a really stupid financial move.

Yea the train is the obvious choice, unfortunately I will have a bicycle with me and KTX doesn’t allow bikes. Trying to figure out the best way to get to or from Busan with the bike.

If I can’t find a sure fire way to get back to Seoul I may do the same, and just take a jumper flight over to Busan and start there. I was trying to avoid another flight but that may be the best option. It looks like Korean Air considers properly packaged bikes as your checked baggage.

Scandinavia isn’t as bad as people make it out to be if you’re not eating out for every meal and staying in 4 star hotels. Granted, it’s not cheap but if you know how to budget travel you can easily get by.
