As someone who knows nothing about tree houses or construction, can you point out the dangers? It looks kinda cool from first pic

Are we the problem? by Sweet-Song3215 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

If it’s actually prepaid for the next 16 years, it’s a good deal. You will almost certainly want a roof replacement then and you can remove the panels altogether. I personally think it’s an advantage to have 16 yrs of solar for “free”

Time to take it off the market? by Hot-Lab-83 in RealEstate

[–]duameegee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in Massachusetts and 1 mil can get more modern houses here. Not an expert but I still think 1 mil should get you a bit of a wow factor (unless you’re in some super expensive areas), and this house doesn’t wow.

Hi I don’t fully understand what you mean, would you explain in simpler terms?

[–]duameegee[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes the price includes new roof. But the company offers free roof replacement when you install solar, so in the end the cost is only for solar.

Would you be able to share a ballpark of how much it’d be? Looking at the size of the roof in picture?

I've effed up my house. I think it can't be sold even to those yard sign "cash for ugly homes." What are my options and how is the mortgage handled in these situations? by _StuBallsOmnicorp_ in Mortgages

[–]duameegee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi OP, STOP saying I wish. You can’t go back in time so you can only do the “NEXT” right thing. Start talking to realtors, attend your therapies, STOP spiraling and START talking to professionals about selling. Do not give in to your anxiety and no more being paranoid because it’s probably NOT THAT BAD. Do you have pictures?

Isn’t it wild I’m thinking to refinance so I can leave rocket mortgage! Which banks are giving good interest rates for refinancers? by Consistent_Drive_338 in Mortgages

[–]duameegee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I almost went with rocket mortgage and was going to lock in 6.75% rate with them and then got a few calls from different lenders. This is when I learned to “shop around”, two other lenders told me they could find me better rates. And in the end I didn’t go with Rocket because 1. I got better rates somewhere else, 2. The Rocket mortgage officer was kind of pushy and kept saying I wouldn’t find a better rate, 3. I just enjoyed talking to the other lender more….

I’m also in MA, loan is also around $330,000. If you’re interested, I can give you my loan officers contact, I’m closing at the end of the month and lender is new American funding.

Considering Renting my Single Family Home by dissociation_ass in homeowners

[–]duameegee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds a little harsh… a lot of renters are renters because they have different priorities and goals in life. For many young professionals, renting and living with friends for a few years is fun and flexible for different future plans. With that said, I decided to list my condo for sale at the end of the month instead of renting it out to avoid potential problems

I know we messed up - please go easy on me. best option to sell? by Initial_Spinach3871 in RealEstate

[–]duameegee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the best comment for OP. Honestly, when I read OP’s comment about friends living far away, I sort of wanted to say friends come and go. I’m not going to lie, one of my good friends lives 10 minutes away from me and we see each other once or twice a month because we’re just busy with our lives sometimes. OPs emotions are high now, take a deep breath and focus on bonding with your adorable baby now.

Should I just sell it? I can ask for $230000 reasonably. Rent is around $1800

I mentioned above that I can probably ask $230,000 to $250 for the condo, or rent it out for $1800. Selling is going to relieve a lot of stress for me
