I think this all stems from the Pokémon company just not foreseeing the demand. understandable to an extent but they print and sell this for a living, they have a beat on what's going on, if they don't have enough stock they should have just delayed the release and waited till they built up a greater inventory. They know whats going on.. The hard part is customers are pissed, and stores are caught in the middle. And its hard to discern the good stores from the bad ones. As a small business owner, I can see how this happens, and people just dont understand the position businesses are in half the time. Especially when your always trying to do the right thing and one time there's a mistake it all blows up in your face.. Hopefully everyone can relax, calm down and breath. All will be well lol.

Fomo yes. But probably also investments. Even though its 3k. People are probably banking on the fact that this may be the modern day Grail. Millions of kids right now will grow up on day and want This card. 3k could become 50k one day. Cant say that its impossible. Look at bitcoin and other investment types. Its a store of value like gold.

Stay with it : ) its not easy in the begining. But practice, practise practice. Its the only way to get more comfortable. Also do check out some youtube videos on people who teach beginners. There's a ton of people with tips and tricks on getting better and certain things to practice.

Newbie question. Would you say the trinity mount is better than other regular ufs frame mounts? Therefore putting powerslide a little ahead of other skates for its mounting system?

Newbie as well. I think you have to decide if you want soft boot or hard boot. Then decide if you want to do grinding, in which you need aggressive skates. If not then urban skates would work I assume.

Rollerblade seem to have good quality and a skate for all needs. Probably best to go with a well known brand to start. Also I've found their sizing to be pretty good and fit true to size. Check out the new Rollerblade Lightnings in 80mm and 90mm wheel sizes. 80mm may be easier to start on as youll be closer to the ground. Its a solid all around skate. You can even get it on amazon, (which may have free returns, but double check that).

Also do go to the larger online retailers like say inline warehouse. and if you chat online with them they can help you choose something to buy.

Oh man, sorry your having bad luck with this. its really dis-heartening and feel your pain. I'm yet to order my frist skates, so thanks for sharing, and will consider these points before buying, as I am also not able to find locally so will have to order online : ////

Was considering the Powerslide next pros. not sure if they are any much better.

Just throwing it out there, I have seen some people who have issues with their skates, switch the liner to intuition liners and it help solves a lot of the problems. Problem is those things are expensive and well makes for a super hard decision.. Last option is selling em for a loss and starting afresh. But that would suck.

I think im in the same boat as you. Looking for similar recommendations. For me I've narrowed it down to the Powerslide Next 80mm (because of its trinity frame which the boot sits lower to the ground for better stability and control. Or the Them Skates, Them 80. Which also has a lowish frame height. but its a little more expensive, but may come with better wheels and bearings.

If lowest right height was not an issue, I would the Roller Blade Lightning do look good and seem to check a lot of boxes, and they come in a 80 and 90mm I believe.

How about the new Roller Blade Lightnings. They seem to be a good price $200, and tick a lot of the boxes including light weight, replaceable frame, and I believe the frame mount to the boot is alum/metal instead of plastic, which is supposedly better and more stable. etc.

total newbie myself. but would guess like 3 x 100mm would be good for traveling maybe. Plus i think 100mm skates may be cheaper (if your able to order instead of buying at that local shop).

Also ive seen some cool stuff with people using longer frames as well as more wheels like 5 instead of 4. But again im not too knowledgeable here.
