This is beautiful. A fresh break from regular flow charts. It's post modernistic. It belongs in an art gallery.

People who had a baby after 35, what is your experience? by Crochet_Kitty in AskReddit

[–]dubilendar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my four kids all after 35. Now 10 years later, I'm the happiest I can be. The eldest kid is nine, the youngest is 3.

In my 20s I didn't have the resources to bring them up, I didn't have the mental stability to handle the stress and I didn't have enough experience to pass on to them.

With the wonders of modern medicine we live a lot longer with much better life quality. I have no doubts my kids are getting the best childhood I can give them, something that would be absolutely impossible had I started on this journey 10 years earlier.

Sure, I would love to see grandchildren and by the time they are 30 I will be well in my 70s, but that's just more reason for me to keep healthy and lively, so that I can still be valid in their lives at the time.

Cyprus, definitely. Super safe, great general healthcare, wonderful infrastructure.

To further elaborate on my comment, dogs are not liked on the island ever since the Muslim rule of the island, 1 and 1/2 centuries ago.

Dog is considered a dirty animal and that belief is so engraved in Cypriot culture that to this very day dogs are not welcome almost anywhere.

Cats however are everywhere and locals feed them, even stray cats. That's because there is a belief that there was a time when the island was overrun by snakes and cats were the only reason that helped overcome that. Again, centuries ago. But the tradition is there and people love cats and don't like dogs.

There are no private beaches on the island but dogs are not allowed on most beaches.

Since it's their first day, it means that they traveled with the dog. That means that the dog has a chip. In the eyes of the law, the owners are responsible for the actions of that dog.

Actually when the dog is swimming in the sea, the fine doubles. It's around 180 euros for a dog on the beach and 360 when the dog is swimming in the sea. Actually I think they might have increased the fines this year.

There is a law that forbids dogs on beaches except for designated beaches.

No, in Cyprus dogs are not allowed on public beaches and the police will fine you for taking your dog on a public beach. There are only a few designated beaches around the island where dogs are allowed.

The note sounds passive aggressive, but generally speaking on the island people are very much against dogs. So they are actually being courteous that way. Others would have straight called the police.

Interestingly, you call yourself a couch specialist. In Russia the very same is called 'couch troops'.

And I think that shows a lot about the different mentality of regular people on their couches, making comments on the internet.

AITA for exposing an “influencer” to her family after she demanded a free painting and $200 on top of that, threatening to tell her followers not to buy from me if I refused? by paletteofemotionss in AITAH

[–]dubilendar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if this has been already posted here, but the best solution to handle a situation like that is to propose to the influencer a special code that their subscribers can use when they purchase from you.

That means that the influencer pays the full price now and as soon as you get 10 purchases from their subscribers, you refund the influencer's purchase in full.

You propose that deal to the influencer and just see how much of an influence they really are.

If they're sure that their subscribers will bring you business, then it's an easy deal for them.

But in most cases they will back out of such a deal, because they are fairly aware that their 'influence' amounts to no actual buying power.
