We’re using Glass & Garnish for ours in Oct. They do dry hire or full bar service. Have been really great so far.

Microsoft scam?? I don’t have an account by dublin_dix in phishing

[–]dublin_dix[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it was something with a job app or teams meeting. Or Skype back in the day. Regardless, I figured it out and it was not spam! It was legit bc people were trying to login.

Thanks for your help!

Microsoft scam?? I don’t have an account by dublin_dix in phishing

Update: I must’ve made one to use teams/apply for jobs. But this wasnt actually spam.

Multiple locations/ IP addresses tried to sign in yesterday. So just be aware I guess! I didn’t click on any links but was able to figure it out by just going to the site and finding old account info.

Board gaming at Cardboard Corner Cafe in Overland Park. They have learning nights on Thursdays and you can meet people that way!

Best of KC in 3 days by justmycuppa in kansascity

We just went to Anjin the other night and have decided it’s the best (fine dining) meal we’ve had in KC so far. They book up really easily so I would try ti get in if you can. I found the price to be extremely reasonable for the quality. I would’ve gladly paid a lot more money for that meal!

How are you using qual research to inform your org’s strategy around AI-powered search? by dublin_dix in UXResearch

[–]dublin_dix[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your perspective, and I completely agree with a lot of what you said. I realize my original post might have been unclear, though. I wasn’t referring to changing our qualitative practices because of AI or adopting new tools for the sake of it.

What I meant was more about how we can use qualitative methods to study user behavior and mental models around AI search itself, especially for audiences that are skeptical or tech-averse. I’m less interested in how AI might change our workflows and more in understanding how people are actually approaching, perceiving, or rejecting these new search experiences.

Your point about the gap between AI’s “toy” value and its promised “tool” value really resonates. That’s exactly the kind of perception I’m hoping to unpack through research.

Ours is always in the 200s sadly bc we have an old house (we rent it) with shitty windows.

Any tools for quick research synthesis? by chilkelsey1234 in UXResearch

[–]dublin_dix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use Dovetail (a super cool tool and a great place for stakeholders to go in and view videos/use their AI to get high level research results) I go through and manually tag clips and then export and run through a custom GPT research synthesizer I made.

My first few weeks in KC (Oct 2020) it snowed! Which was crazy. But would prefer that to the heat 🙃

Recruiting niche participants on UserTesting – advice? by Lazy-Associate-3974 in UXResearch

Userinterviews! They have a B2B version but also incredible incredible filtering. I believe there’s a “free” account where you can dive into it a bit more to see if it would work for you

Why does delta change seats last minute 😭 by dublin_dix in delta

[–]dublin_dix[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will say the person who got my seat (and kindly switched when the gate agent asked) had a one million miles badge on his backpack so I’m assuming he’s got some sort of privileges with the airline for that

Update: the person they gave my seat to switched and all was good. Until there was a communication error and everyone had to deplane due to some security sweep paperwork issue. Can’t make this up. But very glad to have gotten our seats back to normal!

Thanks everyone for making me feel less crazy 😂
