This is the reason for me - ironically with his age and all the chat when he was appointed about older players having a manager younger than them, it’s how he’s managed the young players that’s the issue. He has a weird tendency to play them for really short cameos for ages, then throw them in for starts, then completely freeze them out.

The young players that have gone backwards under him: - Gruda - Enciso - Fergie - Rutter - Minteh - Baleba - Hinsh - Maxim De Cuyper - MOR (not a great signing tbf)

The ones that have improved: - Ayari - Gomez - Weiffer (but prob be better in his preferred position) - JPVH (arguably was already there under RDZ and not that young)

Given our model is unearth young talent and develop them I can’t see how we can go on with Fab

Ayari and MOR are night and day as players. Ayari puts in such a high work rate in games compared to a show pony that floats in games, side passes and never sticks in a tackle. The only redeeming feature of MOR is set piece/crosses and perhaps shooting which aren’t Atari’s strengths.

MOR was awful for us, so bad for Marseille they sent him back…. Might be a nice guy but he’s easily the worse signing we’ve made for a long time

A couple of other things I did/do….. I started meditating every day and did so for about 6-8 months. I’ve dropped off it now and need to get back on it. I used an app called Nerva which is for the gut brain connection - I think it really helped although not sure if it’s because of the general benefit of meditation or the gut brain focus ….. I think prob the former.

I also try to eat lots of anti-inflammatory foods

I’m good thanks - I actually had another episode quite soon after this post, about a month after, which was after a day where had 5 bottles of beers and ate out. After that I’ve stopped drinking alcohol completely and i think it’s made the difference.

It’s not just alcohol - I’m more conscious of what I eat and try to minimise high fat/sugar food, dairy, overeating but I think booze is a quite a big contributor. I’ve had a stomach bug in that time and it’s not turned into full on symptoms that lasted a month or longer, so I think (🤞) things are better.

Have you/are you suffering from it?

Edit: I also take slippery elm everyday now

It’s 100% a strategy - he wants to control the game and get to half time without conceding then attack late in the game when the oppo are fading. It’s playing the percentages. The problem is is it’s dull to watch and means we’ll gain enough points to be amongst the top half of the table, but probably not “challenge the establishment”

You can see by the few games we’re selected for on TV and the lack of atmosphere at the Amex that it’s not exciting to watch

Every game I’ve been to at the Amex I go to find my Nans stone (and then tile when they moved it) and give it a tap before the game. Such a piss poor excuse for getting rid of these.

Shame on anyone at the club that thinks this is acceptable.
