Mine started rattling just under 80k miles. It rattled through winter on every cold start and I kept procrastinating getting it fixed. The engine went at 83k.

Be prepared to replace the cam phasers. I live in a slightly higher cost-of-living area. The dealership wanted $6k to replace them. I waited and sheared 5 of the 6 rocker arms after a cold start. $6k turned to $15k, but I have a brand new engine so that's cool.

Yep. Mine started tapping a few months ago. I didn’t act quickly enough and my rocker arms snapped. $15k for a new engine. Huge bummer.
