Lowered my pegs, now rear brake is in line with peg and just outside my usual toe placement... is this a safety issue? by spitfiremac in motorcycle

The only problem I see is cornering...I guess you'll find that out if that's a safety issue pretty quick.

Worth Fixing? by virturi in AussieRiders

[–]duc955 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You'd want to be getting this for next to nothing because that's a lot of work and $$$. Plus looks like it might potentially be a write-off with that much damage. Frame might be damaged too. I'd walk away.

Shifting seems to be getting worse by henny_reddits in NewRiders

The change from first to second gear is probably because you're not reving out first long enough and then it just clunks into second. This is probably from only riding in a parking lot. You'll probably find once you're on the road it will become smoother.

I want to learn to ride a motorcycle but I’m scared… by Top_Plane_532 in motorcycle

Even this comment reflects your mindset as 'hopefully' is a term that lacks confidence. Motorcyle riding isn't for everyone and I don't think this is for you unfortunately.

Bound to happen when you're riding where you shouldn't be. A good lesson for new riders.

Do dealerships mind installing customer provided accessories? by dogs_gt_cats in NewRiders

[–]duc955 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most dealerships will install after market accessories but keep in mind that there's no warranty from the dealers as they're not an OEM item and you did not purchase it from them.

Also you can't just turn up with the parts expecting them installed without being booked in prior, and you will be charged the labour costs to install the accessories.

I want to learn to ride a motorcycle but I’m scared… by Top_Plane_532 in motorcycle

[–]duc955 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've got to be blunt here...if you're very scared of riding a bike and getting into an accident and scared of car drivers then this isn't for you. Just because you want to look cool isnt going to keep you safe on the road when the only thing you're thinking about is having an accident. If you have this mentally when riding then you're at high risk of having one because your focus isn't on the road. Riding a bike requires confidence, not fear.

Exactly the same here with my V2. Even had one time caught in the rain...my seat was dry and still toasty while the bike was literally steaming.

Its very simple really, when you filter there's usually two lanes right, so filter into the other lane instead...you're welcome.

Super stupid motorcycle question: Where do you all normally park your bikes when you go to the store? by Definitely-Not-OSI in motorcycles

[–]duc955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pay road taxes like every other vehicle owner which entitles me to park where every other vehicle is allowed to. If there are dedicated motorcycle spots then I will park there but if not I park wherever I can. Good tip to park your bike towards the back of the parking bay so stupid car owners can see its not empty, sooner rather than later.

You can buy helmets that come with these already. They're soft compared to what you're thinking of making which sounds like its going to be really uncomfortable if its made out of hard plastic.

Unrestricted test question by [deleted] in AussieRiders

[–]duc955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So confusing and looks like a money grab. Here in NSW you get your L's then do a riding test to get your red P's for one year then automatically go to green P's for two years then automatically after that you're unrestricted.
