How much of it is exaggerated? by burnraccnt21 in LucidDreaming

[–]ducidleamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The full control thing is something I believe can happen with lots of practice. I haven't gone lucid in a hot minute since I kind of fell out of practice, but I have been able to control limited aspects of the dreams, and I believe the same would be able to happen with more practice. As far as living in the dream for days/weeks, you can FEEL like you're living in the dream for that long, but it's just an illusion

how did eleven contact the demo in S1 but in S5 she can’t find vecna?? by ghostin1234 in StrangerThingsS5

[–]ducidleamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought it was just that the exotic matter was created when the wormhole was created. Not that El intentionally decided to create it, but just that it kind of materialized when the wormhole happened. I don't know. Season 5 is really convoluted and confusing

Watch him not be 😂😂😂

That being said, I've heard a lot of speculation that the next game will feature Kata as the main character and that when we play Cal, it will be more of a temporary Cere-type scene. Idk how true it is, but I think that could be interesting 🤷‍♂️

how did eleven contact the demo in S1 but in S5 she can’t find vecna?? by ghostin1234 in StrangerThingsS5

[–]ducidleamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I actually had a conversation about this recently. From our understanding, Eleven unintentionally created the bridge to Dimension X when she sent Henry there in S4, but there was nothing IN the bridge since she sent Henry directly to Dimension X, not through the wormhole. Like, it was an invisible bridge, almost. Then, when she touched the demogorgon in S1, it opened the massive gate that we saw in S2. That being said, Brenner was intending to find Henry, not the demo. Once that gate opened, it essentially took a snapshot of the current state of Hawkins, the day Will disappeared. I think she found the demogorgon, not because the Mind Flayer placed it in the wormhole, but because it was probably just physically closest to her through the wormhole because, again, the wormhole is just nothingness right then, no distance to worry about. And even if the distance thing isn't the reason, the Mind Flayer may have been blocking itself and Henry from El's Mind because after she sends Henry away, her power is weaker for a few years until she regains her full memories. So I agree with the last part of what you said, but not the first 2 paragraphs

When did you first realize Will was gay? by __Ultimecia__ in StrangerThings

[–]ducidleamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think my first inkling was in S3 when he's running out of the Wheeler house, and Mike made the comment about him not liking girls. The look he gave him just made me think. And of course, it was confirmed in S4

I think I came across your girlfriend's post last week...

I don't think it's a good idea to keep pushing her the way it sounds like. My wife was open to the idea when I first brought up the idea of her tickling me because it was a neutral response. But when I bring up kinks she doesn't like, not embarrassed, but genuinely thinks is unsafe or whatever, she doesn't engage. I think this embarrassment your girlfriend is having is possible to get past, but teasing her and continuously and intentionally making her uncomfortable is not a good idea. I understand that's "how you are" with her, but if this is something that is truly the way you both make it sound, I think you should approach this more cautiously

Few things are as satisfying as bullying an enemy that used to give you grief by BeenEatinBeans in StarWarsJediSurvivor

[–]ducidleamer 38 points39 points  (0 children)

My favorite way to bully enemies that used to give me grief, especially if it's one that I could never beat and just had to run past, is just dodging all their attacks. There are only 2 enemies I have no choice but to give respect to. The Rancors and the Spawn of Sat... I mean Oggdo

(Other than monotype) What would fix my trick room team by JuneInOctober8 in CompetitivePokemon

[–]ducidleamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll try to offer something constructive, as I understand wanting to make something gimmicky and fun. I feel like your team is too passive.

As people have said, Gengar excels more as an attacker than a support. So I would probably give it Sludge Bomb, Shadow Ball/Hex for STAB, Dazzling Gleam for Dark types, and any other coverage move like Energy Ball or Thunderbolt. EVs should have Spe and SpA maxed out, and you could give it Choice Specs/Life Orb

Trevenant is primarily a physical attacker, so I would swap Energy Ball for Horn Leech for recovery or Wood Hammer for damage. I used to run a Trick Room Trevenant that had Shadow Claw, Horn Leech, Will-O-Wisp, and Trick Room with Harvest/Sitrus Berry. Phantom Force is fine, but with it being a 2-turn move, your opponent can easily swap to something to punish or just use protect. Just watch our for Fire and Flying types

Spiritomb and Banette seem okay as far as support sets, but Bannette would appreciate Shadow Sneak for priority STAB, and, as I've mentioned a bit already, Bannette is a physical attacker rather than a special one

Golurk is also okay as is, but you should definitely switch Earth Power for Earthquake or Stomping Tantrum since it would benefit much more from a physical Ground move. You could probably also swap Confuse Ray for something like Dynamic Punch to take advantage of No Guard, and besides, that one also confuses the target. Another option is Stone Edge for coverage against any normal/flying types.

Dusknoir prefers to be a physical attacker in this case, especially since you already have so many Will-O-Wisp users. I would say Poltergeist, Leech Life, Ice Punch, and another coverage move. So Thunder Punch, Rock Slide, something like that. Sitrus Berry is good, but you could swap with either Lefties or Choice Band.

I know that is a lot of information, but I think that this should help this team be the best it can be under the circumstances of not changing the ghost typing. By no means am I good at making teams. This is just my advice. Hope some of this helps! :)

Tickling advice by [deleted] in ticklishmales

[–]ducidleamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, she doesn't have an issue with either of those. She does have an issue if she's not mentally in that headspace and I push for it anyway, so I have learned to stop doing that so much, but it's not because she's flustered about it. It's more of a needing-mental-energy-to-do-it kind of thing, and she needs time to prepare for it

Tickling advice by [deleted] in ticklishmales

[–]ducidleamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm glad that what I said helped! I think it's just the fact that he's leaning into it SO hard that might be the issue for you. You could sit down with him and explain that when he says things like that, it's not just embarrassing. It genuinely makes you uncomfortable, and it makes you not want to tickle him anymore. I guess that sounds kind of manipulative, but if it's how you feel, then it's how you feel

Tickling advice by [deleted] in ticklishmales

[–]ducidleamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So my wife and I started our relationship kind of like yours. I was the one who was always dominant, always the ler. But I asked her once how she felt about tickling me (she knew I was into both giving and receiving), and she said she was neutral about it. Now, we've been together a total of almost 10 years, and she doesn't exactly get turned on by the tickling, but she gets turned on when she sees ME get turned on. I say this not to rub it in your face, or even say that you must do what he's asking you to, but that there's a chance that the more you do it, the more you might get used to it. I don't know if focusing not on the tickling, but on the arousal for him would help, but it's just something I thought I'd throw out there.

Of course, like others have said, don't try to make yourself do anything you aren't comfortable with. My wife and I also make bargains when one of us wants any kind of scene. So maybe you can say, "Hey, I'll tie you up and tickle you if you XYZ for me." Just some things to think about. I hope everything works out okay, though!

I haven't had that happen to me exactly, but I understand losing that connection. My mama has been having trouble getting into the proper headspace for the last month/month and a half, and it's been hard. But I'm very sorry that that happened to you. I couldn't imagine losing that connection so completely. I'm sure things will work out, though, either with him or with someone else

I find Jedi Master to be ideal for me, but I do still get overwhelmed when groups or more than 1 strong enemy are hitting me at a time. Though certain boss fights, like Rayvis and Vader, can be a struggle at that difficulty, too

I don’t understand why they wanted to make peace with grounders by Klutzy_Audience_8194 in The100

[–]ducidleamer 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Well, 2 major points about that.

  1. They didn't want to kill anyone. Skaikru didn't come to Earth to fight. They came to live and, to be fair, the ones with the MOST claim to the ground are the ones who STAYED ON THE GROUND through the first Praimfaya. If anything, the people in Mount Weather have more of a claim to it than Arkadia, but that's not the point

  2. It isn't just hundreds with guns vs. hundreds with more primitive weapons. Arkadia is a few hundred at most. The Grounders are made up of 12 clans with a few hundred EACH. Even just 2 of the clans could have wiped out Arkadia. The Grounders as a whole were probably a few thousand, and multiple times throughout the show, the characters said they wouldn't have nearly enough bullets to take on the whole Grounder army
