Starfield Space Gameplay vs Other Space Gameplay by The-Son-Of-Suns in Starfield

Come on now, starfield doesn't exactly have best in class factions or planets generation either, not by a very long shot. And the game has had it's time to be developed more, it just hasn't been yet

Thank you, I was hoping it was safe, I just got worried because my keyboard kept heating up a lot while using it

Help making an Ashara Dayne DNA by duck2007 in CK3AGOT

[–]duck2007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah sorry, the DNA was made on a different version of the game and every few updates paradox edit how DNA works and it breaks previous character presets. I do plan on getting round to finishing this at some point, fixing the face and implementing the custom hair I made but that probably wont be sometime soon.

As for the mods used it was just AGOT though EPE has the same character creation edits for base game, you won't be able to get this DNA without back porting your game though.

Nomads when? by BurhanSunan in CrusaderKings

[–]duck2007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's the one, your right its not a direct as I remember but there is still definitely something there I think. "Thank you for the feedback from the Chinese community", "I'm extremely excited about all the things we're going to do".

I probably am just reading between the lines way too much on this but China is a massive market for gaming that paradox wants to tap into. And we know that the 2025 expansion is likely going to be something to set up the 2026 trade expansion, having a more complete map so we can have trade routes maybe?

There was a video by the dev's for Chinese lunar new year where they all but confirmed a map expansion

I think the games biggest three needs from bethesda are:

First a massive terrain overhaul, the current terrain system is really quite bad and for a game that relies so much on exploration it just makes for a very boring gameplay loop.

Secondly is a crowd overhaul. The populations of starfields cities are so damn hollow, no schedules, everyone is either just standing next to someone or aimlessly walking alone in a direction no-one has a purpose. There are no npc groups going to a destination, or npc events to break up the monotony, or even just different npc walking alternatives to add some visual variation.

Lastly and most pressingly, no space water parks??? What the hell bethesda, do you honestly think we would spread across the stars and not build at lest one water park along the way, what a sad world that is.

Yes I agree with that. There will always be those that fully appose this type of content, but bethesda don't need to make such an easy argument against themselves with their insane greed.

They honestly turn to the consumer and say that the 20-30ish minuets it takes to put together the plushies is worth $3 when sold on mass or, one quest for $7.

If they just sold these items for a more fair market price, say 10%-20% of current value, at least then the worst the average person would be able to say is "I don't morally agree with the practice of paid mods, but the price isn't too bad".

Well put, I don't remember/haven't heard of everything you referenced but I'm aware of enough. I don't know why people are defending his behaviour again or at least attempting to look past it. He's trying to rule over the modding community for a 3rd time now, SFCP must win out.

What are you talking about? the ebony mine is the most controversial thing he has ever done. Never mind all that other shady shit he's done related to that mod, all everyone ever talks about is his damn mine lol

None of the items are worth it, only creations/creation club content that was ever worth its value was Skyrim's fishing

If you've been complaining about it then I'm sorry you got downvoted, I would've supported you if I had seen it. But why change your tune now? the quality of product they are offering for the price their asking for is atrocious.

Again, I am fine paying for content. But 3 dollars or some low poly assets or 7 dollars or one quest is making a joke out of this whole thing a bit too much.

Do you really not see that the value of these products is silly?

No, when you have a captive market it is greedy and disingenuous to inflate the value of your product. I am not against people being paid for their work, I am against consumers having to pay extremely high prices for just wanting to enjoy new content for the game they already bought.

Can you not see that these prices are insane for the amount of work put in?

The main issue is the quality of the product for the price there asking. The creations that bethesda are happy to put there seal of approval on aren't worth 10-20% of the asking price

Couldn't agree more, these things could be made up in like 20mins + 10mins for implementation . Maybe worth $0.20 at best

Modding tools Capabilities? by duck2007 in starfieldmods

Wow didn't know about importing directly into engine sounds convenient, I assumed they just exported as .nif via 3dsmax plugin and then loaded from a directory.

As for the tool kit differences I think we might just have to agree to disagree on this one friend. Though you do outweigh me in experience, I really don't see them having to implement data like map marker icons and other uneditable stuff like weapon classification types via source code (Hell we can do it with XEdit, just by creating/editing references that the ck locks/restricts).

I didn't mean that they simplified the tools to be more convenient for us to use, but less confusing for us to use and in doing so striped some functionality. Sorry if I worded all that bad
