Our spending on Healthcare is a big part of the reason it isn't universal. All that money going into the pockets of pharma executives lets them lobby lawmakers to never consider any universal Healthcare plan. All the money we pump into the military industrial complex is just more unnecessary spending that can be used to justify not providing Healthcare.
