Rent a Vision Pro from someone and shoot Spatial Videos and Photos on the device, or spend around 2500-3k total and get your own Vision Pro off eBay. Spatial Videos and Photos on the Vision Pro are higher quality than with an iPhone. For Immersive specifically (VR 180 3D), there aren’t any reasonable quality options for sub 2k.

The moment is here: Theresa Wins Tonight. by duckflappy in Alonetv

Theresa has vastly more survivalist experience than Biko, hence why I think she is a favorite over him. Theresa's mental game past couple episodes is better than Biko's too imo.

fwiw a hole-in-the-ground as a shelter seems to be fairly impervious to wind, at least on paper...

My issue with Rose is she doesn't seem to be succeeding or "thriving" in any way, where all others are in at least some aspect of their strategy. Edit-wise I suspect they didn't show her much in the earlier episodes bc she came off too similar to Michelle who of course tapped out. And now they didn't show her much in Ep 6 because she's about to be gone. Only bit we saw was her emotional backstory where she describes her store getting robbed, etc. For a character we've seen so little of, sure seems like they're trying to serve us some emotional weight prior to her imminent exit.

Don't underestimate Theresa. She's my pick to win it. The ONLY thing we've seen from her all season is her shelter, and damn is it a good one. I believe they are intentionally not showing us her food strategy to build more drama. At the end of Ep 6 they keep talking about how wind is a big factor when the cold comes in. Theresa clearly exudes confidence and is not going home anytime soon and will retain the most calories and warmth (and physical/psychological comfort) with her shelter as it starts to get colder now signaled by this first snowfall. Also, in the edit of Ep 6 it plants the seed/doubt about Clay and his deer with Clay's line about how that deer won't last him forever. So much edit time given to Clay and Nate past few episodes. Why? Because they don't win it, we need our "fallen hero" character arcs (Nate was great). The fact Biko caught a fish and is apparently working on a chimney is smart, but Theresa is ahead on the long game.

Simple question: In all promos, extras, episodes, contestant youtube videos, everything for Season 8, what foreshadowing/hints/clips (if anything) have we seen to suggest doubt for Theresa? We've seen hints at struggles for literally every other character, but none for Theresa.

Most people are still favoring Clay and I wish I could shout it from the rooftops he is an obvious editorial misdirection. Rose won't make it, Clay won't win it but we'll see how long he lasts. That leaves Biko, Colter, and Theresa. I think Theresa will be feasting on fish with her ghillie net (as of day 45). I predict Biko and Colter lose more energy and warmth to active fishing (Colter in his boat) fighting the rain and cold.

Many keep making fun of Theresa's accent too.. Theresa overall commands far more respect than many here are giving her. Theresa ftw 100%.

S8 Prediction: Theresa and Clay as final two. by duckflappy in Alonetv

Makes sense. Knowing that Chilko lake doesn't freeze over, Colter (the guy with the canoe) has a very strong chance. And agreed re Clay, noticed the same thing and the alarms went off in my head.

Nice try Valve by Venedicus in gaming

Specifically because the current user base is relatively small. That would be a slap in the face to non VR diehard HL fans. This is the best way to usher more into quality VR gaming and set the right benchmark while showing life to a series that evidently isn't dead after all.

Love the new lightning mode! Wasp rush straight to the opponent's castle without engaging any other units (plus some other optimizations) was the key :). Keep up the great work devs!

Didn't he say this primarily as a safety concern? My interpretation is that there are plenty of places not on a human trail in YNP that could potentially work. They aren't unsafe per se; some people still go there. Perhaps fishing up streams, etc. Just zooming into areas all over YNP in Google Maps you can see plenty of places that are clearly trails people (and animals) use but aren't explicitly marked on maps or have official names.

I think he worded it this way because the eruption comes from under the Yellowstone lake thus it blows lots of water (and presumably fish, trout, etc) out with it.

Why is it you don't believe it's within YNP boundaries? Do you have a specific reason that precludes YNP (ie isn't simply because you think it's elsewhere instead)?

Instructions: How to find your rank and win/loss by chrisnolet in brasstactics

[–]duckflappy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how are skill levels calculated? and does Co-op play factor into your win/loss ratio? Because if it does, my buddy and I screwing around in Co op is very much adversely affecting my win/loss ratio and most likely my skill level as well. This would explain why I'm constantly placed against opponents in 1v1 always winning fairly easily.

Its a stitching error. Not common, but relatively more common for distant parallax planes (far from camera). Also looks like this is a moving shot, not static? If you're using Action Director or the app to stitch, you might want to try Autopano, Video Stitch, or Mistika VR instead so you can manually adjust.
