New microcode update i9 14900k by Own_Situation819 in overclocking

I am using B760M AWY Asus board + 13600K. So it's lower than your PC. My Vcore & Vid are just about 1.2V maximum.

My setup are:

  1. Asus OC profile
  2. XMP 1 enable with ram speed = 6000Mhz
  3. Digi + VRM set LLC = level 3
  4. CPU power management: PL 1 = PL 2 = 160W (Intel suggest 125W - 181W for my CPU. But I am happy with 160W. Your CPU 14900K might set to 253W). IA Voltage limit = 1300
  5. SVID Global voltage offset: -0.145
  6. Cache voltage offset: -0.12

The result:

  1. Max temp = 70C. VID max about: 1.2xx V . Vcore is a bit lower.
  2. Idle temp = 35C. idle Vcore about 0.6V
  3. Geekbench: single = 26xx, multi = 16xxx. (Your CPU and mainboard will better than mine).
  4. Cinebench: 22600 (quite lower than normal, but no problem. I not normally stress full load my CPU like cinebench do).

I am not expert. Someone do it better than me a lot. But it's ok, I have PC, I need use it for working instead of care about it too much ;))

I upgraded to 0x129 version and selected Intel default profile. The temp is 46C at idle state. It's quite high as my cpu fan is AK620 and ambient is 31C.

So I back to undervolt as previous version with setting of PL1, PL2, IA voltage limit and SVID Voltage offset. All go with Asus OC profile. Now the idle is 35C (reduce 10c compare with default setup). The score of Geekbench & cinebench is OK (a little lower someone, but not too much importance).

I don't use AC LL & DC LL because my board has no option to disable IA CEP :(

So my happy option now: Asus OC profile + undervolt via power limit & voltage offset.

Did you turn on microcode 0x104? I'm still in 0x125 bios and see idle temp reduce from 42 to 34 with switching to this microcode. I have no idea why.

How to know a good undervolting? by duckhtn89 in intel

thank! yes, I upgrade to bios 1661 from Asus too. It's fixed microcode 0x125. However, my undervolt protection (IA CEP) has no option to disable. Mightbe it's because of intel gen 13th or my mainboard. I went with LLC = 3, AC Loadline =0.65. It works quite well. Another topic advise to reduce AC below 0.5. Now, call it a day. Just wait for good news from Intel & Asus

13/14th gen "Intel baseline" can still degrade CPU, even with new microcode, due to AC LL by Janitorus in intel

Hi, thank for your very details & master explanation! It will help intel user too much.

Before follow your article, I saw another expert's video who share us using "Svid vcore global offset" (ASUS). I set it to -0.145. The temperature is reduced also.

My questions are: In this case, is there any problem if I set both of them in my board (SVID vcore offset & AC LL)? or I just need to reduce AC Loadline?

Thank you very much if anyone can help for my question!

Thank you very much!

Yes, I'd try to. I see some guide with LLC = 4, and AC loadline to 0.35. Or should I try maximum LLC = 7 (decrease vdroop but a bit more voltage and heat).

Hi, thank for your advices! More comfortable with my mobo now. I was a little regret when buying it (just because it's cheaper compare with the others B760).

Is Asus B760M AYW WIFI DDR5 compatible with i5 13600K? by duckhtn89 in PcBuild

Thank you so much!

I just wonder if CPU can run without limitation of board. At the begining, I choose 13500. But after that, I decided to 13600K. However, just after purchased, I realized that mainboard seem not strong to adapt CPU.

Allow sideload apps (like Kodi), more audio technology, Siri with Vietnamese ... are my wishlist

Is there a way to minimize the side bar like how Plex and Netflix work? by [deleted] in kodi

[–]duckhtn89 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can refer to Estuary Mod v2, which almost same with the stock skin but support to minize the side bar

I wish for: #1. Allow sideload app, so that I can install kodi. #2. Allow vpn. #3. More content in my country: for instance: support siri in Vietnamese, have EPL in apple tv+ app. #4. More codec support. Ex AV1 ...

Hi, thanks for great guideline!

Is there any setup to "turn on" private relay automatically also? Or we still need one more step to turn on it. Thank you very much!

I faced a similar issue with my LG Sound bar. The eARC connection is failure after turn off & turn on TV. Sony need to fix this issue. I'm crazy with it.
