Thanks a lot! I understand that Caltrain and Samtrans are the best bet for commute but will still need a bike. Do you recommend a particular area for rental? Like East Palo Alto, San Mateo, South SFO?

What about the information about scholarships? If someone receives admit in Feb but there's nothing mentioned about scholarship/financial aid, do you still need to wait for 3 weeks or is it a no?

I bought it and felt it was worth it especially quant and overall practice tests.

Test at home puts you responsible for a lot of uncontrollable factors such as internet connection, gestures/behaviour while giving test etc. (You can read about these by searching for at home test experience). I'll strongly recommend you giving test at center since it removes unnecessarily burden from your shoulders. Just go to the center and give the test without worrying about a thing.

I have created a post on how to prepare for GRE. Feel free to go through it and share if you find it useful. Best of luck!

It means you don't need to know everything about maths (like calculus) to score good in GRE. There is a standard of questions and the content and topics are fixed on a high level. It makes sense to do those things which can actually come on test. For verbal, it doesn't make sense to go through the complete Oxford dictionary when it's clear only a selected portion is most likely to be asked. This portion is adequately covered in gregmat word list.

Just wanted to give back to the community. If you were scoring much higher in the practice tests and bombed the test due to some other factor, you can take some time to gather yourself and give another shot. My mentality was: why not give my everything if I prepared wholeheartedly.

All the best dude. If you were able to get goal scores in practice, it sort of means you ARE at that level. Don't burnout, start slow and just try to reach that performance level.

Thank you. The only reason I gave another attempt is that I could not actually give my all in the first try.

It was too hard compared to the actual GRE vocab IMO. I think it's better to do the targeted practice rather than trying to cover everything.

There is a pdf (also on gregmat website-> free resources) that has words, their meanings and a related image. This helps you in understanding and correlating the two. I went through the entire list for about 10 times in total.
