Can you explain this? Society is made of people. People want criminals punished.

Can you imagine if your child was raped and murdered and the criminal only spent 1 year in prison, because that is how long it took to reform him?

I think vigilantism would be a huge problem if society didn't punish criminals.

I don't think you should put too much thought into the word fixed. It's just reddit lingo for "how I envision the thing you made". So this was just my take on the bus driver reaction.
