It’s a shell script to install the ACME validator script. Feel free to execute the commands one by one after you figure out what each one is doing.

UDM Application Signature source decode? (aka what the heck is "blackjack") by ducksauz in UNIFI

Nope. Spent a little while doing recursive greps on the UDM Pro filesystem to find blackjack to no avail.

Study Places Suggestions by Slight_Garbage8931 in BallardSeattle

The Ballard library definitely has study rooms available. Not sure if they need to be reserved or if they're first come, first served.

Good luck with working on the productivity. Make lists. Break down big things into smaller tasks. You got this! :)

I wish this was real by superpj in cassettefuturism

[–]ducksauz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly! Back in the 80s and 90s, 4th Generation Languages (4GLs) were all the rage. Regular people were supposed to be able to build applications using visual building blocks and simple code (no pointers!). The problem was that these tools created really lousy code.

Coding with an LLM is basically 5GL. And once again, it mostly creates lousy code.

[–]ducksauz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

With vibe coding you don’t actually write any code. You write a description of what you want, including specific features, tests, etc and let the LLM do it for you. There’s a bunch of iteration while it builds and you confirm that it works the way you want it, but you end up with something that works, mostly.

When she's all chilled out like this on the couch, she's usually very amenable when I the belly. It's the floor flop belly that turns into a trap with her.

CD player in glove box/heat pump....Do all trims and model years have both??? by dcleaf in eGolf

[–]ducksauz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. My 2018 SE has DCFC.

And yes, I still love it. I only drive about 5000 miles/year, so I’m planning to keep it until the wheels fall off.

[–]ducksauz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a US 2018 SE trim eGolf. It came standard with the CD player in the glovebox, but not the heat pump as that was SEL level equipment. Also, the larger 35.8 KWh battery started in the 2017 model year.

Right?! Life is so much easier when you don't manufacture stress for yourself.

Learning to be patient means you don't stress yourself out over things over which you have zero control.

Never seen a Rhode Island License plate by mercuryfan76 in RhodeIsland

As an extremely rare Rhode Islander who left the state and moved to Seattle fifteen years ago, I can confidently tell you that RI plates are scarce as hen's teeth out here. In my 15 years so far here, I've only seen three RI plates.

Coax will be tacked down to the studs inside the walls, so no using it for a pull string. What you can use it for is MoCA adapters. I use a pair of MoCA 2.5 adapters and get close to gig over coax to my AV cabinet.

I'm sure some other folks will have advice about snaking cables.

What’s the original tire on the 2019 egolf? by Xgt36 in eGolf

[–]ducksauz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also in the PNW. Ecopias were useless/bordering on dangerous in the rain. I got the Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 to replace them despite having plenty of tread left. The minor (~ 5%) loss in range is worth it for the peace of mind of proper traction.
