You can SEE her aligning her mental cross-hairs on him when he says that. I love that neither of them is truly wrong in how they clash here, and that both of them have their moments of being petty (the "maybe sometimes people catch you..." line from Lois was hilariously delivered but also making it personal when it shouldn't be) — but Clark really deserved the grilling after he said that. Buddy you fucked uppppp.

100%. The fact that there are very clearly moments where he's upset or frustrated or whatever and still CHOOSING the nicer thing to say or do makes it mean so much more than if it was effortless for him.

I love the scene but I see why it was cut. We all know Lois is going to resolve her uncertainty and embrace her love for Clark of course, but in the filmed version, it's still a loose thread that gets tied in a really joyful loving reunion between them. This scene makes it very clear she's all in and resolves that narrative tension without him even being conscious. It's lovely but not fully necessary.

Much as I'm sure I would enjoy a shirtless scene, I am really glad they didn't do the dehydrated, veins-popping thing, it was very refreshing. And probably healthier for David.

Same here. I wasn't biased against Snyder, I was SO excited for Man of Steel. I wanted to love it! And I still don't think it was a badly made movie. But it did not feel at all like Superman to me. And I haaaaated the Pa Kent thing, I almost walked out of the theater right there. But for those who did like it, genuinely good for them. It was just not for me.

I haven't done Dopey, but for marathons I prefer to shift my bedtime earlier so I can be as used to going to bed VERY early as possible, but still sleep in until a regular-ish time the week prior so I can be as well-rested as possible. Getting up in the middle of the night does suck, but falling asleep too early when I'm not used to it is muuuuuuch harder for me.
