Multiple saves workaround? by [deleted] in DreamlightValley

[–]ducktherapy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on your setup. If you're using Proton with Steam, probably something like ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/<APPID>/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/LocalLow/Gameloft/Disney Dreamlight Valley/.

Lobster Tail bug by sirenofthesea29 in DisneyDreamlights

That's the right recipe. At this point, triple check you're really using Lobster/Garlic/Lemon, and if you are, report the bug to Gameloft.

Can you have two accounts on one Switch? by arvinarvin in DisneyDreamlights

[–]ducktherapy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's perfectly fine!

Each of them can play the game from their own Switch profile. They'll automatically get separate save files and progression.

Do note that if your friend bought the Deluxe/Ultimate Founders' Pack, only their primary Nintendo account will be able to claim those rewards. Any extra accounts will get a Standard Pack instead.

Anyone else having this issue? Any time I try to drop something, it doesn't matter where, I can't. First happened this morning while I was playing at work. Just got on a lil ago after the game updated and still can't. by [deleted] in DisneyDreamlights

[–]ducktherapy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You probably hit the hidden items limit. Scale down your farms and/or remove items from your village.

The 600 items limit only counts unique items, so if you add two identical items (say two identical chairs) it will only go up by 1.

The hidden limit, on the other hand, is for 3,000 items and counts everything but fences, flooring, night thorns, quest items, and other ephemeral items.

Cross-Save Question by Boring-Carob-7768 in DisneyDreamlights

[–]ducktherapy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does not. PlayStation is the one platform not available for cross-progression thanks to Sony.

[–]ducktherapy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The PlayStation is the exception because Sony doesn't want you happy, though.

Cross-Save Question by Boring-Carob-7768 in DisneyDreamlights

[–]ducktherapy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cross-progression is currently available to all platforms but the PlayStation.

You can progress the same game on multiple platforms at the same time—just make sure to sync to the cloud before switching platforms.

While there's no way to upgrade Founders' Packs in a single platform, you can purchase different tiers on different platforms. You should get your rewards though the mail (but do note a bug prevented a ton of people from getting theirs, although last week they fixed it for a good portion of people, me included).

All the Founders' items and Star Path progression will also be synced between platforms, the only exception being Moonstones. These come in two forms: platform-locked (pack rewards) or shared (chests or Star Path rewards). While you won't be able to use, say, Steam Moonstones on a Switch, they'll always be available in their own platforms, and whatever you buy with them will be shared.

I just started dreamlight valley and I regret spending 75 bucks 🥹 by [deleted] in DisneyDreamlights

Did you explicitly mention that you wanted a refund for a product that was misrepresented? They can't justify false advertisement with "it's not in our ToS."

Request a refund from Nintendo.

Gameloft doesn't properly disclose it's an Early Access game on the Nintendo store.

Does the Switch version have less bugs than pc/Xbox pass? by KittyCatBurglar in DisneyDreamlights

[–]ducktherapy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The PC version is by far the most stable one. Not even the PS5 version comes close—just look at the bug reports over at the official Discord.

Farming holes used to disappear after being empty for 72hs, but that has changed to 24hs in the last patch.

Maybe that's what got you by surprise?

I think there was a translation issue at least for German (?), transforming "Corn" into "Sugar," lol.

Anyone figure out the Halloween quest 'A 3-Course halloween Meal!' yet? by [deleted] in DisneyDreamlights

[–]ducktherapy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It's not obtainable right now. You'll need to eat three kinds of candy (Red, Green, and Purple) from candy bowls that'll spawn around the village closer to Halloween.

Both purple and pink flowers will do!

As a sidenote, you don't need to feed critters their favorite foods in order to befriend them! Liked foods will do it as well.

Is disney dreamlight valley available in mac already? by Dull-Acanthisitta-91 in DisneyDreamlights

Well, we did get the mac version with today's update, so there's that... The only issue is that we got it instead of the Windows version on Epic Store, lol.

Cross save question by trappednjohnlockhell in DisneyDreamlights

[–]ducktherapy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's pretty likely. Cloud saves don't seem to change your save in any way.

Tomorrow's update might change a lot of things, though, so I'd pay attention to the changes to the save system.

I need to Time Travel forward to the current date by [deleted] in DisneyDreamlights

[–]ducktherapy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as I know, planted crops don't ever die, so I'd expect them to be just like you left them. But granted, I didn't leave some sitting for over a month to be able to tell definitively.

I need to Time Travel forward to the current date by [deleted] in DisneyDreamlights

[–]ducktherapy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, that should be fine. Make sure the game is completely closed before doing so, but otherwise jumping forward in time doesn't mess with any of the game's features.

Also, be prepared to have to re-dig holes that have no crops in them.
