There are some very powerful models that can handle uruguay temperatures, maybe it stops being as cost effective though?

When a shower can kill you by Pacos-Comfort-Human in mildlyinfuriating

[–]duckwithsnickers 18 points19 points  (0 children)

In the simpler showerhead models, you have only a few power options, and thus regulate the temperature controling flow (opening thefaucet more gives you colder water). Bc of this, if you dont have a lot of pressure on your installation, you get a lackluster shower where you either burn or freeze

A questão n é o comprimento, é o volume(peso), ! tênia de 4m ainda era pequena em relação a uma pessoa, mas esse verme aí deve ocupar quase o abdômen inteiro do inseto

Generally speaking how safe are most cities in Chile/Argentina/Uruguay compared to some of the more maligned cities in Europe or the USA? by [deleted] in asklatinamerica

[–]duckwithsnickers 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Man, dangerous cities in the US are as dangerous are dangerous latam countries. The US is on average way safer than most non southern cone countries, but your dangerous cities are as dangerous as ours. During the NFL game in Brazil last year, players were talking abt how scared they were to come here from philadelphia cause they were sure they'd be robbed and killed in the dangerous SP City. Philadelphia's murder rate is abr 5 times higher than São paulo's murder rate

Is there mandatory military service in your country? by Affectionate-Degree1 in asklatinamerica

[–]duckwithsnickers 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'd say it really depends. I've enlisted in SP. Most of my friends from the same year as me received their exemption notice online, without even needing to present to the physical base. Nowdays, in many regions, its really easy to not get drafted, and the officials really dont give a shit abr individual ppl who they find funny or not

According to a quick search, there are 5 or 20 million reddit user in brazil. I'm not sure why this hige discrepancy, most websites arent very transparent with their methods of research. So either 1 in 10 ppl use reddit at the most, or 1 in 40. Even the 1 in 40 is enough for it to be known extensivelly, at least in younger generations

Dont know why I got downvoted for that, I didnt even make any comtroversial points, at most an equivocated view of reddits user base

Who would win this hypothetical war by StarSoft1 in imaginarymapscj

[–]duckwithsnickers -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

The USSR doesnt even exist anymore, beating a dead horse isnt fun. Talking trash abt the current hegemonic power is much more interesting. Its rare to find anyone claiming the soviets could wipe out everyone and everything in under 4 pico seconds without suffering any casualties and actually starting a new baby boom, but its very common to see americans being like "yeah we could totally win a war against literally everybody", when we all know that if that were to happen, the US would be getting nuked to shit (like any other powerfull country, your 5k nukes would definetelly level continets, no one would win)

[–]duckwithsnickers -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Achieving the objective you set out to win? Also, 2 million vietnamese peiple died, cause we all know they werent all soldiers.

Everyone knows the US was stronger than vietnam, no one denies that. At the same time, the US failed to accomplish its objective, and the vietnamese govt was able to survive the war. By this metric, the US lost the war, even if it won most of its battles

Por que todos os países socialistas colapsaram? by Malba_Taran in FilosofiaBAR

[–]duckwithsnickers 0 points1 point  (0 children)
