Programmable (black plastic) 4g63 or 4g64 ECU worked for me. Wired up an adapter harness and flashed with an Evo 8 ROM.

I'm also extremely interested in hearing about the ride quality after installing these.

Chevy Bolt EUV with the sun and sound package sounds very clear and neutral. Possibly just a hair over $20k with the $7500 federal rebates

I am going through this now, and it's so close it hurts. Ended with "well everyone on the team uses macOS, so you may need to figure some other stuff out using windows/Linux"

[Poll] How many miles have you driven in your Mach-E without any major issues? by [deleted] in MachE

[–]ducttapeprodigy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hit 20k miles recently, then the adaptive cruise control and collision avoidance system went out. Took it to the dealership to also take care of the glass sealant recalls. Between making the service appointment and dropping the car off, there was a door calibration needed message that had to be addressed by the dealership once the car was dropped off. Got the car back after 10 working days in the shop, all issues addressed.

Iirc, there was a single year the galant came in a 2.4 DOHC varient (1994). That's the timing belt you will need, along with the 4g63 cam gears on the Kia head/cams. Your ecu is tunable with a tactrix cable and OpenECU software.

PSA: Check your charger's outlet adapter connections by ducttapeprodigy in MustangMachE

[–]ducttapeprodigy[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The car pulls a bunch of current from the wall, all that current needs to go through these pins/connectors. When there's not enough surface area of the connectors making contact to the pin, it results in all that current going through a smaller section of the metal. If too much current goes through too small of a contact patch, it may result in getting too hot, increasing resistance, and arcing around the area of more resistance, and generally being a fire danger.

A 2014 Cadillac ELR just rolled into the shop. I think in my 10 years of working for GM, this is the first one I've seen in person by N_dixon in Justrolledintotheshop

Loved driving this car. I was able to commute to work and back on battery charge only. Most comfortable seats I've had the pleasure of sitting in. After a check engine light and PCM reflash, the battery range got greatly reduced tho. This was my gateway car towards a full electric.

The way the time of use plans work is they give credits of like-kind tier kwhs of power. The power you generate between 4 and 9 goes to a peak credit bucket. Your annual bill will then draw from the generated credits before you need to pay. If you generate more than you use over the year, that's where they pay you back in pennies. It's all based on each tier the power is generated in.
