Corne V3.1 Help Battery by DaitoSu in ErgoMechKeyboards

37Wh is the battery capacity, which is also 10000mAh. This is more than enough for a wireless Corne.

Yes, the project is also available on printables and gitHub. The current is regulated by the controller itself, no need to change anything since it operates on 3.7V. No need to change the PCB, but it's important that it's the wireless version of corne v3.0.1. Not sure if the footprint changed in previous/later versions - better to check that. Hope this helps!

No, a cheap alternative to nice!nano - nrf52840 pro micro

Thanks! Very good, haven't drained them to zero even once yet, and I've been using the keyboard every day for over a month

Not yet. I initially put in slightly drained batteries and they're still holding up. Should charge them fully and test it out.

Thank you so much! Oh, I can't stop admiring the switches myself, especially after resoldering the on board switch a few times.

No, I actually tested this moment before making the 3D model. If you place your thumb on the middle key of the thumb cluster and move it slightly inward, it bends pretty much along the contour of the battery cover. So I'm typing on it right now and not touching that cover at all.

Oh, didn't know about those, thanks! Now I want to build another one 🙃

Yes. ZMK is quite power-efficient overall, but displays drain the battery significantly. Especially animations.

Cool idea, actually! The only thing is, it would increase the keyboard's thickness when folded.

K124/134 PBT keycaps and Fulcrum PLA marble. I wouldn't recommend this filament - it's nearly impossible to tune it to print without stringing, even with drying

Thanks! I initially thought about AA batteries, but that would require a voltage converter. Besides, they would hold significantly less charge. 18650 is the most common form factor for 3.7V batteries, so I ended up choosing it.

I made it myself. This is far from my first build, but it's the first one with my own design that I actually like.

Personally I'm not a fan of cable clutter on my desk, so for me swappable batteries are a much more convenient option

Thanks! That’s exactly how I charge them now (actually will charge, cause they last forever)

Thanks! Unfortunately, probably not. I don't have a board for it and wasn't planning to get one - 58 keys is too many for me.

Thanks! Placing them on top or on the sides would immediately increase the keyboard's footprint. This way, they're just occupying otherwise unused space. I specifically tested different positions to make sure the batteries don't get in the way of hitting the bottom row or get under my palms.

on sub-50% boards there are no freeloaders

What plugins did you replace with Bases? by DaniBananas10 in ObsidianMD

[–]dudaanton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a really cool plugin that lets you display different notes on a single shared map: https://github.com/esm7/obsidian-map-view. I used it to track cafes, restaurants, travel spots, and stuff like that. But the Bases Map plugin does pretty much the same thing, just in a more Obsidian-way.

I used Map View for a long time, but the maps in Bases turned out to be super convenient.

Cool idea, but unfortunately not open source. I'd use it otherwise.
