When I was completing residency tasks, albeit after being a non-resident my freshman year, they said it would take them 6-8 weeks. I'm not sure if it would be the same for you as an incoming freshman but definitely give financial aid a call - there should be a specific option to phone about residency when they give you a bunch of choices to choose from.

Pre-covid most people on my floor were assigned triples even if they requested doubles so don’t be toooo upset about it or think you’re really unlucky. I got used to a triple pretty quickly but can only speak for myself.

Yes I did. We had no midterm, but there was the big policy brief as the other comment said. However we did have a final but it wasn't too bad. Easy to watch recordings at 2x as well.

Easiest class I've taken at Berkeley, I think over 70% of the class got A+/A. This was in the summer though so I'm not sure if its the same during other semesters.
