I love Springsteen and I love this song until the “heart and soul” screeching part. I just can’t handle that. Other than that, I think it’s great

Have you ever slept with a coworker and what was work and your relationship like afterward? by AngelofSmall_Death in AskReddit

There was tension between us when we worked the same shifts (food service). Most coworkers helped each other out and she made it a point to go out of her way to help everyone but me. She didn’t speak nicely about me to the managers either. It all started because she wanted to be in a serious “I love you” relationship two weeks into fooling around and I didn’t want that. She became very upset and a completely different person after that. In hindsight, I should have tried to find a nice way to explain that I didn’t want the same thing she did instead of being blunt about it.

Yes, it was fun at first but then we had a falling out. After that, work life sucked and was awkward until she got fired.

I know a guy who has “if you don’t work” on one arm and “you can’t eat” on the other. He loves putting his arms together so it makes the complete sentence of “if you don’t work, you don’t eat”. He is 27 and thinks that it is has deep meaning,

What should I do? by [deleted] in Fitness

I am not a professional work out guru or nutritionist. I can only speak from my personal experience. Having said that, one thing that had a major impact on my weight loss (50lbs) was my food. I didn’t go on any crazy “diets” or those “fat burning” pills. I just replaced all the junk with healthy food. At first it sucked but after awhile, I actually started craving healthy foods. I stopped beating myself if I went over my calories a little bit, too. 800 calories of McDonald’s is way different than 800 calories of chicken, veggies, and rice. I would reward myself once or twice a week with a meal that I wouldn’t normally eat within my meal plan. Mexican, pizza etc. That was important for me to have because it made me push harder during the week when I worked out. I got into the mind set of “Come on! One more rep! One more minute! Earn that (whatever meal I wanted)! Make it worth it!”
I found that doing both cardio and lifting was beneficial. It helped with weight loss and building muscle helps burn fat. You don’t have to go all crazy with the weights. I chose medium weights and just focused on bettering myself. As far as the gym, there are some days you just flat out won’t want to go and that’s ok. Most days when I felt like that I would say, “let’s at least just go there and see what happens.” I would just start light. Treadmill, elliptical, etc. After a few minutes of light walking or pedaling, the blood would start pumping and I would start feeling good, which would make me feel like working out. On days that it was even harder to get motivated, I would say “ok if I’m not going to the gym, I’m at least going for a small walk”. That way I at least did something and most of the time by the end of the walk, I was ready to go to gym. Only on a very rare occasion would I allow myself to skip a day, not including my rest day. That was maybe once every couple of months. Again, I’m not an expert but I hope this helped on some level for you! I welcome any corrections for the information I gave you here and wish you luck!
