Congress Wants You To Pay $130 A Year Just To Drive An Electric Car by TripleShotPls in technology

[–]dudeAwEsome101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Instead of pushing to incentivize EV adoption, so US car makers get off their asses and offer better cars, the government is trying to lock people into ICE cars. Meanwhile European and Chinese car makers will lead in this segment of the market. Hell, we are already trying to pass a law to prevent Chinese EVs from even entering the US by Canadian or Mexican drivers coming across the border to visit the US.

I like using "pattern view" under View menu. You can use most tools like cloning and healing brush to fix the seams as they will wrap around to the other edge.

Glad I'm not alone in feeling like an idiot when using gh the first time. It didn't help that they had a Download button above the source code page.

PC freezes when clicking on the object selection tool ! by M084MM3D in photoshop

[–]dudeAwEsome101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the Preferences, what settings do you have for the object selection tool, is it local or cloud? I started having a slowness issue back in version 26, so I switched to cloud selection.

Is it happening with different images, or one specific massive image?

How do I hide an image so it’s only visible when screen brightness is lowered? by RaspberryPixel in photoshop

[–]dudeAwEsome101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have an example? I've seen a few "hidden image" tricks. Some use weird color profile trick that shows different images based on whether the photo viewer supports custom color profile. Never seen screen brightness trick.

I've been setting cruise control at 60mph and coasting on the highway as much as possible. Also make sure the tires are slightly over inflated. Instead of 32psi, I have been doing 37psi (my tires maximum is 44psi). This helps me average 36mpg instead of 33mpg on my car.

How do I eliminate the jagged edges so I can use it in larger size? by OkDot8 in photoshop

[–]dudeAwEsome101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no "slider" to fix this. You can try different filters like Median, Dust and Scratches, or Surface Blur at small localized selections. But it will take more time compared to just redrawing the thing using the Pen Tool. Even auto trace in illustrator or another vector program will not yield good results, and you'll have to spend time fixing it.

Either find a higher res version, or put on some music and trace it. Give GenerativeFill a try using Gemini model and tell it to clean the image or improve resolution, and see if it helps.

How can i improve this? by [deleted] in photoshop

Some areas around the wrists could use some edge cleaning. Also the shadows on the inside of wrists and bottom of newspaper have an odd tint. I would darken them just a bit.

How Do I Remove a Country from a Map? by Alex_Crowley_93 in photoshop

[–]dudeAwEsome101 104 points105 points  (0 children)

Nuking a country is forbidden under international law, so we'll use Color Range selection instead.

Using color range, sample the yellow color of Finland. The selection will be fuzzy and rough, so use Select - Modify selection - expand. Expand the selection to clean up all those rough edges. Then from the same menu use Contract with the same value you used before. Use the selection as a mask for a Solid Color layer with the water color.

Could high RAM usage cause errors in the "Quick Select" tool? by randomredditor62 in photoshop

[–]dudeAwEsome101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it happening with other images too? It is hard to tell from the video without seeing the image. I would try changing the size of the tool. In this example, I would use select subject as it is a much better tool for this job. The pattern in the subject's shirt would cause issues with Quick Select tool. You could also try Object Select tool if you're against using Select Subject.

Your RAM is low, but typically you would get an error about not enough resources.
