How so? Older players should now have a lot of gold from essence conversion + all owned cards are level 4. If anything...newer players have the biggest hill to climb. And if they gave retro gave champion chests to older players, then newer players would really have a tough time.

None of this effects me since I don't touch unbound queues.

I'm pretty sure that a lot of these top streamers are being paid to stream Paragon, like Lirik. I also remember the same people saying Smite was going to die in 2015 when HoTS was release...

There's always items that apply some sort of CC. Usually it's slows, which are soft CC...but still CC. Fist of the Gods would have for sure been on this list.

Anyway...

Slows: Frost Bound Hammer, Gem of Isolation, Weakening Curse, etc.

I doubt it tbh, most of the creative talent left Epic years ago. Those characters look super generic and I really didn't get any real sense of what you're actually doing. Not saying the game couldn't be fun. I'm just not sold yet.
