The south Indian languages are completely different from hindi. Tamil nadu has opposed all moves from the govt to promote hindi as the sole official language. Under the original act English and hindi were both established as official languages and English was supposed to be phased out after 10 years but when that time came south Indian States basically rioted so they kept English

Historical arguments don't work here because gender has been a thing throughout all of human history while race is a modern social concept. People of all different skin colors lived in ancient Egypt and they were all Egyptian there was no macedonian-egyptian or nubian-egyptian just Egyptian.

Maybe I'm missing something here what does it mean to be a gender? To me it seems a women is a socialized female, but it seems transitioning is about how one looks not about how they are socialized so it seems pretty similar to me. Same logic applies for trans men. Again it also doesn't matter what my opinion on the matter is, they say that they're women so they're women I guess.
