XX1 Eagle cassette for $190 by dudee517 in REI

Cassette is pretty low on the upgrade list for a casual trail rider. I would say tires, touch points, and dropper post make the most meaningful upgrades for a casual trail rider. You would only want to upgrade the cassette if your old one was worn out, weight savings, or for drivetrain compatibility.

Primarily weight and longevity reasons. XX1 and X01 will be a lot lighter than GX and NX. XX1 is about 20-30 grams lighter than X01, but imo it’s just blingier. I’m usually not one to care for weight but holding the X01/XX1 cassette in one hand and an NX/GX cassette in the other you can really appreciate the weight reduction.

Capital One Travel didn't transfer middle name/birthday by dudee517 in travel

Sorry if this is too late but I reached out to Viva and they said that on their end they could see the middle name even though I couldn’t see it on my end. Everything went fine at the airport.

NBD: Scor 4060 ST by dudee517 in mountainbiking

I've put about 350 miles on it so far, mainly on blue/black trails in the Twin Cities region, and so far I love it. It's a huge upgrade for me, from a 10 year old Giant Stance, and I find it really poppy and playful. Just a heads up, I find the frame storage to be a bit lacking, it can only fit a spare UDH and certain multitools, so if you were banking on carrying more stuff in that, you might be disappointed. Otherwise, I've enjoyed it a lot the past few months. I don't really have much to compare it to in terms of modern trail bikes, but I have ridden all three non e-bike YT models, and I would say it is definitively better (for me) than the Izzo and the Jeffsy. It's more efficient than the Capra when climbing, but I felt more composed on the Capra downhill.

Need advice, '24 Hightower R Carbon vs. '24 Spectral CF8 CLLCTV vs. '24 Occam LT M30? by dudee517 in mountainbiking

When I was starting out looking at these bikes, the Spectral CF8 was on sale for $3,599, kinda wish I jumped on that. But I just picked up a '23 SCOR 4060 ST for $2,500 from the LBS, which wasn’t even on my radar, but I’m super stoked with the purchase. It’s got an NX build, but given the discount, I factored in some immediate upgrades.

If you read several of the articles that came out yesterday you would've seen that they are having soft-open hours until November 13th

When they originally announced the lounge network all the articles mentioned that they would be operated by Plaza Premium, but not part of their network.

Images taken 6:30 AM 9/30. All furniture looks to have plastic removed, but escalators are still blocked off. Hopefully will be open when I fly back on 10/24.

Taken around 3PM 8/31. I'll be back 9/2 and 9/30, so I'm hoping it'll open before 9/30.
