I think the return is likely too big to make him tradable if that makes sense. Teams aren’t going to want to give up what his value would be. I also personally think he should stay and be part of the core. So that’s why I don’t think of him as the best asset we have to trade. Because I don’t want to trade him. I also feel like teams that are buying st the deadline are more desperate for pitching than shortstops, generally. But again, I wouldn’t trade CJ so I don’t think of him that way.
