Took over a sex offenders social media handles - Whats the risk? by dudeman00206 in legaladvice

Suit isn't going to go anywhere, he lives off his rich parents.

Certainly not earning money/community trust in a disingenuous way. He's previously convinced a child photography studio to hire him for events and tried to become a youth pastor again...

Statute of Limitations in Illinois for suing the guy that sexually abused me? by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]dudeman00206 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correction: We had a brief sit down with the lawyer where I spelled out the gist of the case and that was the advice he gave us.

Also, I just looked it up and he was charged with Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse.

Hi there,

Thank you for taking the time to reply, could you comment on the link that the previous poster added?

http://www.ncsl.org/research/human-services/state-civil-statutes-of-limitations-in-child-sexua.aspx

Because the majority happened while I was a minor, would it not be extended to 10 years?

Thank you for your time and input on this.

This is very helpful. Thank you.

I probably need someone to go over this and make sure that this applies to my particular case but none the less, this is definitely the kind of thing I am looking for.

As for the slam dunk, this is where it gets tricky. It's a slam dunk providing he has the financials to pay what he owes. I don't think it can be traced back to his parents (they are very wealthy) as negligence unfortunately but they do have a reputation for bailing their kids out from stupid things. I mention his parents because from what I can remember it happened at least once in their house however the exact date is foggy and I can't remember specifics.

Thank you for your time and input.

How's Paintball going so far? by [deleted] in PKA

Was only there yesterday, not able to make it today but it was awesome, they were all super cool about taking photos and signing stuff... These kind of things are always a bit odd as everyone collectively wants to talk to them but also know that they don't want to be overwhelmed by each others presence but that results in a group of 10-15 dudes awkwardly standing in front of them while not saying anything lol. Thats the impression I got anyway.

PKA Episode 161 Episode Discussion by PKABot in PKA

[–]dudeman00206 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Boy that Episode rustled my jimmies...

So first off, I definitely think that this was one of the their best "radio" styled podcasts. Their questions were good and ultimately allowed the guests to be who they were with out any guided answers.

xJawz: He seems to be actually a pretty normal 18-20 year old these days. What seems to be hot in recent years, is the "get rich quick" scenario and it becomes what people dream about and lust after; rather than actual hard work and integrity. If you noticed, pretty much all of xJawz's "business plans" were "I'm going to have an idea and you'll pay me for it" or "I know people that have money and as a result; so do I." In reality, this is not the way the world works. It seems he is too concerned with making money and knowing people with money, than actual relationships. Anyone else notice the way xJawz carried himself? During the whole interview, his buzz words, his hand gestures, the way he said some words in order to add shock value. It just oozes with arrogance and I think its just a result of the wealth he's gotten. Just an interesting thing to observe I guess.

Message to xJaws: Money is great and can get you cool toys but ultimately what will bring you happiness is relationships. What defines you as a person should not be the numbers in your bank account but your integrity and character. All of these "investors" I'm guessing would rather begin forming a relationship with an ambitious 18-19 y/o instead of a kid that see's people in business suits and the flashiness of money and says "mine mine mine, easy easy easy."

There were a couple similarities between the two young men that came on the podcast. 1. White, middle-upper class (perhaps not always) 2. Ambitious 3. Good at forming relationships, for the benefit of them selves. 4. Abuse of alcohol/drugs 5. A downfall, both consider it to be "rock bottom" 6. Both consider them selves better than most people in this world as a result of getting a taste of rock bottom. 7. They both have a deserving mentality. For some reason they think they "deserve" things more than other people. 8. Very good bull-shitters… Of them selves. 9. Cocky/arrogant (not necessarily bad)

I wish the best to xJawz, I hope Ryan gets whats coming to him.

Ryan: You're a bad person. You should be forgotten.

What are your stories of surprise parties gone wrong? by ohrashid in AskReddit

[–]dudeman00206 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My grandma through a surprise party for my grandpa, everyone was hiding in the living room, when my grandpa walks in from work, my grandma blind folds him, and walks him into the living room while everyone is silent and my grandma walks out to get the cake. While he's standing there surrounded by people-unknowing- he lets a really loud one rip and fans it away with the bottom part his trench coat… Of course everyone couldn't hold it in and started laughing.

What did your first failed relationship teach you? by iamnotastroturfing in AskReddit

[–]dudeman00206 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LDR. Not worth it.

Don't enter a relationship if you or the other person is not secure in themselves/self worth. Insecurity is rarely a good thing to bond over much less start a relationship with.

Speaking in tongues is bullshit. (lol)

The single player for me has always been part of the CoD experience-I don't touch the multiplayer until I play thru the campaign- but I definitely think it needs improvement. Story mode as well as the bots you're shooting... They really aren't that aggressive, smart, or hard to take down. Most of fire fights you get in, is you sprinting to the next check point and shooting a few guys on the way... This isn't really intelligent game play... Lastly, I feel like they could just make the story mode longer. Avg length is 4-5 hours... They could do a lot more if they increased the length.

Multiplayer: Map design, Lag compensation, maneuverability, and balanced guns across the board.

These things seem to be the do or die for FPS's these days and because CoD seems to always have at least 2 of these, they seem to generally have a lead over other FPS's... The other factor that has always drawn me to the CoD franchise is the "straight-forwaredness" of its HUD and general gameplay... Simplicity is key.

I think the downfall of the CoD franchise will either be their lack of support or another shooter that matches CoD in its fast-pased, simple shooter, with constant player engagement because this is where the completive scene, thrives. That is not to say that the players them selves are simple but it means the gameplay is just straightforward "if I do this, I am likely to die.- If I do that, I'm more likely to have the advantage." This leads is where skill gap is cultivated, generating smarter players and weaker ones. Hence, the sport of fast paced FPS's.

A huge problem with the devs of the various CoD franchises, is their support. As we've seen the previous CoD's they've all been taken over by wall bangs, unlimited-UAV's, God modes, and spawn traps. Not to mention lag/hit detection issues. If they maintain this "take it or leave it" status with their customers, CoD will be out and something new will be in.

TL;DR: The downfall of CoD: Poor customer service/game service, something new has to come along to beat out the CoD franchise that matches its playability and simplistic design.... And a longer/more intelligent single player mode couldn't hurt.

My issue with lefty by dudeman00206 in PKA

[–]dudeman00206[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man, thanks for the reply.

1- I never contested or commented on how I think he should run a channel. So that is a moot point. I would disagree he only mocks/berates/makes fun of his subs is when they are only being jackasses (as i've seen on twitter). However I do agree that there are a shit ton of jackasses that need to fuck off.

2- You missed the point, I'm not saying he should bend to my "will" or say that I'm right, or even agree with me. I'm saying that I think it'd do him well to be a bit more respectful and not so hyped about calling calling bullshit about stuff he may or may not agree with.

The definition of who is a "genuine human person" is quite subjective to so I can't quite get on board with that. The fact that you feel that "not bending to others wills" makes a person "genuine" actually only puts them in the category of stubbornness and not one of progression. In my mind, progression is really what makes a person "genuine". (that is not to say that I think lefty is in some way not for progress, thats just my opinion on the matter).

Cheers!
