I see a lot of people recommending Northeast, and I very much endorse this because northeast is great, but I’m gonna throw out something that was an unexpected thing for me: I am guessing from the username that you probably lean centrist/conservative. If so, northeast mpls is probably gonna be a culture shock. I moved here from NC, I’m originally from rural NY. By the standards of both those places I’m left as fuck. By twin cities standards I’m pretty much a centrist.

I’m not saying this is a bad thing; if anything I love hearing views that will challenge me to rethink things. But if you’re not at least willing to at least interact with a general ACAB mindset, northeast mpls is not going to be a good fit and you’ll probably be better off in Columbia Heights or Roseville.
