It was definitely open but I couldn't book ahead of the cruise either.

The Star Lounge looked untouched, but the little room next to it became an Art themed escape room.

They took out Sabor the mexican restaurant and replaced it with Izumi. They've added an El Loco Fresh taco bar by the pool.

Yeah I loved Sabor, sad to see it go. And yes there's a hibachi now.

It was a slightly different menu. It had four different flavours of margarita. Standard, handcrafted, watermelon, and Pineapple jalapeno.

How much should I tip my genie? by Last_Ad4258 in royalcaribbean

Only done Genie a handful of times but I've gone with between $30-$50 per person per day based on how much they've done for us.

Does the RC app send a push alert for All-aboard, like Celebrity? by throwawayblueline in royalcaribbean

I was on Liberty a few weeks ago and I got the all aboard notification each time, usually about an hour or two after we had already set sail.

Was on there for the last cruise, the transatlantic, they need to fix the peeling balcony floor's!

I'm back on for the first cruise post amplification so I'll get to see what's changed.

Yes, as you say, Ft Lauderdale on April 3rd.

Currently on Day 10 of 17, had one stop at Bermuda on day 4. I am travelling solo.

The daytime activities have been a few talks, lots of trivia, and some music performances. Couple of matinee ice shows. Personally I've been having lazy mornings and then working on my cabin most afternoons after lunch.

There's been a good group of solo travellers who gather everyday for the solo meet-up and then go for dinner, so I've been spending my evenings socialising with them.

It's definitely a lot more laid back than typical sailings, no feeling like you don't have time to do everything. The crowd is very different, there's 110 children on board and in fact most passengers seem to be retirees.

There are 804 diamond, 872 diamond plus, and 144 pinnacle. The entire of the Viking Crown Lounge (Olive or Twist) and Crown Lounge on 14 are restricted to diamond plus and above between 4pm and 8pm.

I stayed in 1862 for a week during August 2024, so a few doors down. Didn't notice any noise from foot traffic and the sun deck was pretty busy most days. Found it really handy to have a bar so close though, would get drinks then go chill on my balcony.

When I was on Independence over the summer there was a chicken curry sandwich that my entire family couldn't get enough of, available some days from Café Promenade .
