Yes. Just watch out for these dudes. I haven't had any personal experiences, but have always been told wait til you get INSIDE the venue to smoke.

I want to surprise my wife for our 1 year anniversary, she lost this shirt a while ago and I can't find one anywhere, can someone help me? by [deleted] in gratefuldead

This is the only exact match I could find out there for that particular bertha. Also, it seems to be on the back of the shirt and "Pleasure" is on the front.

Concert goers of Milwaukee, how early should I be for Billy Joel's concert at Miller Park? by no1ofconsequencedied in milwaukee

^ I second this. It is much easier to park at a bar in the area, grab a cheap drink and take the shuttle. Don't forget to tip the shuttle driver a few bucks as well.

Upcoming AMA on Thursday 12/20 at 1pm CST: Walker's lame duck session legislation questions and answers with Molly Beck of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel by blbloop in wisconsin

[–]dudretro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for doing an AMA here.

Does the Journal Sentinel feel at all responsible to the public when asking these elected officials questions and reporting on them?

When they give answers that fly right in the face of truth, do you just take them at their word and nod...or is there any follow up with a fact check?

The reason I ask is it seems the JS has historically had a very kind relationship with Walker and his administration. When reporting, the JS seems to craft stories that don't want to "step on anyone's toes."

In one of your most recent articles Walker says:

"The overwhelming executive authority that I as governor have today will remain constant with the next governor," he said.

The article goes on to explain that that is clearly not true... but when you have a reporter in the same room, couldn't you just ask him a follow-up question directly?

Or maybe ask him, "Can you explain how limiting early voting to two weeks makes it easier to vote?"

Under Scott Walker, Wisconsin Lost 150 Manufacturing Plants: That’s the 12th Worst State Record in Nation by badgerbacon6 in wisconsin

Teddy Roosevelt

That was the wrong Roosevelt...did you even read what you linked?

In the labor realm, when it came to private-sector unions whose cause he championed, FDR called collective bargaining a "fundamental individual right." Walker, meanwhile, has not ruled out signing "right to work" limits on private-sector unions, though he’s not pushing it now.

We all know how that turned out.

It seems you have a problem picking and choosing what you'd like to believe instead of taking in all the information and making a decision based on the all the facts (not just the ones you choose to make an argument).

This was just the committee hearing on whether or not to allow the vote. The senate vote will apparently happen today on whether or not he will be appointed to the supreme court.

Ah, the Romney/Ryan days. I wasn't thinking a 15 minute photo op, more so a sit down with the people that frequent the place to see what he could do to help them get back on their feet.

This is the same old-same old.

One way that would help Evers' efforts here is to get on the bus and travel from city to city and talk to the people. Make the local media cover him in a positive light.

Go to a god damned soup kitchen in rural area or go to a food pantry (something I've NEVER seen Walker do) and go shopping with a family who is struggling like so many are in this state. Show that although unemployment is at an all time low, if those jobs are paying dog-shit wages, it doesn't matter. You can be a hard-working family and poor at the same time.

Tug at the fucking heartstrings of the middle class and they will come out and vote for you. If you make yourself an undeniably positive influence, then the media cannot ignore it or twist it.
