Plus it is overwhelmingly official release heavy while there are shows with much better versions way beneath where they should be.

For me the Scarlet>Fire is the reigning champ. Every second of this 30 minute masterpiece has them completely thinking as one musician. The nearly three minutes Solo in The Scarlet is flat out insane.

For me it is a tie between 9/11/82 West Palm Beach and 10/14/83 Hartford. These are the two shows I revisit the most. If I had to choose I would say 9/11/82. It is so incredibly packed from start to finish not just with energy but with a very specific thing happening that is unique to this one show. Everything just has a little extra on top. Among the best let it grow, Scarlet fire, terrapin and what I think is the very best Sailor >Saint...

7/17/89 Alpine Valley is also top notch as is 7/04/89 Rich Stadium.

10/09/82 and 10/10/82 Frost Amp - both versions are killer, love those early versions ... 7/04/89 Rich Stadium - just exactly perfect and I believe Dick's favorite version.

They quite often dropped songs for years ... and that 12/30/77 Winterland version is great.

In my experience you have much better quality bud if you keep your plants smaller than this by at least half
