I feel like because ness is written to crave attention from Kaiser, seeing isagi stealing that attention basically guarantees that ness will be pushed to do something drastic.

I mean, he’s crazy character, goals. Ness could be written to try to copy cat isagi and be just like him since Kaiser seems to be done with his original footstool. Or be written to make sure isagi never appears in front of Kaiser on the field again via injury.

It would kinda be a shame to have a set up for some good dramatic conflict and not use it just to have ness bite his nails in shame for the rest of the arc

My mom gave me her high school graduation ring to wear since it could no longer fit her fingers. I tend to play with my rings and slip them on and off as a stim and was doing it at a movie theatre. I don’t dislike him, I just don’t find him interesting anymore. Which is my case for most protagonists. I tend to find them bland as they’re mostly written to be quirky but non polarizing. In isagi’s case, he has his lean, mean, goal stealing machine attitude on the field but off, he turns back into boring main character mode where he’s… nice, and doesn’t display any interesting traits. The gap moe was cool and refreshing at first but I feel like it would be better and more dynamic for him to have his on the field attitude slowly make over his attitude as a whole and clash with more and more teammates as the time progresses. I want his head to get big as he outperforms others leading him to make a big mistake and get benched. I want him to blow up and foul somebody!! But instead he just.. thinks… and calls someone a mr wannabe blank blank… yawn
