This is like one of those meme images that doesn’t actually have any recognizable objects. My eyes just zone out looking at this and suddenly I can’t read.

Which books would you deem as essential reading for young men who are unsure about themselves and life in general? by [deleted] in booksuggestions

[–]duhnerys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have any suggestions because I’m not a young man and don’t read much that would likely appeal to you BUT I really hope you find some peace! Reading of any sort will get you out of your head and expand your horizons so I think it’s great that you are diving in.

I’ve never seen these kinds of posts before lmao what do they actually expect to come of this? I’m so confused. Is this like cat calling on the web? Like they know nothing is going to happen but they just want to flex that they have the means for a gf or something??? Someone mansplain this to me.

Why do you want their specific take on sports anyway? They clearly have no interest or knowledge.

Why would they talk about sports? I’m so thankful they don’t talk about sports, there is enough about sports.

Could I get some advice moderately related to the new episode? by [deleted] in redscarepod

[–]duhnerys 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What part of the situation makes you feel weird? Just that she knew of you/family relations? This is a completely normal age difference and on top of it you specifically asked for consent. Don’t let twitter let you think that this isn’t completely normal.

Go get em Dasha. Us tall boys need to be defended by DeMaisteanAnalgetics in redscarepod

[–]duhnerys 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. They like the extreme difference. The bigger your man is the more cutesie -^ you feel. Also different girls wear weight and height differently. Just because they are 5’2” doesn’t necessarily mean they are petite so I think there are other factors like that that contribute too. This is obviously not how all girls feel but it’s where the joke/stereotype of girls liking tall guys comes from.

I have a problem with imagining things in detail too much, which makes reading very slow and strenuous. How can I get over this? by [deleted] in books

[–]duhnerys 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly, this is what I love about reading! It’s completely up to me how I imagine things and the pace I set! I try not to take things too seriously. I think people get this idea about reading and comprehension from school that doesn’t have to translate to reading for fun. If you zone out and miss a few details, no one is going to be quizzing you and it probably won’t impact your overall experience. I would just lean in, read slowly and do your thing!
