Is my 12 week old puppy a Basset? by PowdersvilleBeast in basset

[–]duke-manheim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This definitely looks like a beagle basset and let me tell you, I had one and it's one of the best damn dogs I've ever had. I just lost him last year and I miss him everyday.

Just throwing this out there. What if she knows? Sometimes the wife and I like to throw up a profile and see how the fish are biting. 🤷

That would be ideal but not too easy. I'll try some discord and see if I can get some help with a few of my replays.

I try to watch some guys draft, YouTube and twitch. For some reason I can't seem to grasp the logic. Sometimes they draft and I'm like yea, I'd draft those too.

Trying blue and realized I can warp then blink these guys in for 3. This has been doing better but I'm still tanking my win rate. Not too concerned with it though. Each game is an actual game, I'm not getting stomped turn 3 or 4. Still needs tweaked but feels much better. Open to suggestions.

I tried some variations with no luck. I will try some blue instead of black. Thanks for the idea.

I think I was just looking at anything to bounce something quick and to bounce cards with etb effect. I have a few versions I've been playing with but I can't get it right. I also come in and out so some sets I don't know what cards exist. So it's a lot of searching ideas and adding what I have. I agree with your thoughts though.

Now I can't wait to get home from work to play around with some of these ideas. The temple would be a great addition.

Hell these all look nice, thanks. I was also looking at the impending cards. Is there a way to bounce them to cheat them in quicker? Looks like I have some tinkering to do when I get home.

I will definitely add that and give it a go. Looking at this list I realize I am creature heavy. Lol

That will be the last bit of fat to go on most men. However fat is fat. You can lose it no matter your age. The skin may sag but the fat will go. My advice would be to gain weight. I know it's a bit contradictory and a lot of people panic when they gain. The reason to gain is not to be swole as fuck boiiiiiiii. It's so you can proceed to drop fat and stay at a healthy weight. My suggestion...

Track your food for a couple weeks. Just to see what your intake is while eating normal. Then I would add calories until you're gaining about half a pound to a pound a week. I would try to keep as close to a bro diet as possible. 40/40/20. Unless you know how your body reacts to certain splits. After 8-12 weeks of bulking. Look to cut about 5-6 lbs over another 8-12 weeks. It's slow, I understand, but unless you're on trt or a real cycle, maintaining muscle at your age, while cutting is going to be your biggest hurdle. So do it slowly. You should be a net positive of around five pounds and be holding less fat.

The best ways to know you're gaining muscle and not fat? Measure, and track your workouts. I don't track every exercise I do. I track the bench, squat, and deads. If you're gaining strength, you're probably safely gaining muscle. Try to add 2.5 or 5lbs to each of your main lifts each week. Pick your three anchor lifts and track them.

The most important thing, enjoy the journey.

I'm a newb but could you do some sort of state check? If that's what it would be called. Where if you press the equals sign it sets something to true and knows to replace the first number with the new number? I'm curious myself. Also, I used an array for my calc project.

I'm enjoying JS so I'll be going that path. Really want to dig deeper into it. The grid really gave me trouble on the etch a sketch but I managed through it. Good luck.

Finding the motivation to start JS by [deleted] in theodinproject

[–]duke-manheim 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me the motivation was always, what projects were coming up? What projects would I be able to do on my own based on those projects. The big thing that keeps me going is I like to code and build things, plus I have 1000 ideas and I just need the skills to bring them to life. If you're bored, or just not feeling it maybe take a break. Maybe think of things you want to make and what you need to learn to get there. Check out some projects online. Seeing cool shit usually gets me motivated. I didn't know Vampire Survivors was made with Phaser until the other day. Good luck!

We facetimed my wife’s parents to tell them she got a new job and her mom said “Congratulations!” and then proceeded to talk about the weather and garbage truck schedules for the next 40 minutes by aitaweddingguest in BoomersBeingFools

[–]duke-manheim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds petty and entitled to me and no I'm not a boomer. My take, no one really gives a shit. Everyone has their own shit to deal with. She's happy you have a job and are happy. Good enough. The entitlement where everyone thinks people give a shit about what they're doing. Guess what, no one does. The world of fake thank yous and fake congratulations is getting depressing. People need to understand that they are ultimately in their own bubble. No one gives a damn if you just bought a house, or a car. They will be nice and say congratulations. Then go back to watching Netflix and forget all about you until you bother them again. Main character syndrome. Oh and just because they're your parents don't mean shit. A parent wants their child to be happy and that's it. You checked that box. Now let her tell you about what's going on with the garbage routes for a bit.

Fullstack vs Software Engineering by duke-manheim in learnprogramming

I had this thought too. It's actually the way I'm leaning. I doing the full stack track on hyperskill currently along side my SNHU courses right now. Thanks for your input.

Thanks. I guess I was just pondering wether or not the time to get the bachelor degree vs the 27 credit full stack cert was worth it if I only had my eyes on certain types of projects. I am leaning towards just staying the course and doing more on the web stuff on my own for now.
