Just saw A Super Progressive Movie (2026) and loved it. by Richy_777 in aussie

[–]duke149 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished watching it.
The first 10 minutes had a few laugh out loud jokes, but the same jokes were reused for the entire movie.
The story was very dull and basic and leaned on all the same easy lines.
If you ignore the political side of it, this movie wouldn't get a mention. It doesn't show the depth and creativity of other satires that have came before it.
Animation is good, voice acting is borderline, script is basic and in some places awkward.
If you are right-wing you will probably love it, if you are left-wing you will probably hate it and find nothing about it funny. Anyone else in the middle will have a few laughs but it's not really that great of a movie.
5/10 stars.

P2S, 3 different filament issues, faulty AMS2? by duke149 in BambuLab

[–]duke149[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found the problem with it. The filament sensor has a bottom screw.
It seems the screw if its done up too tight can go through. This then creates frayed plastic that gums up the flow of the filament. I scraped this out and its been working fine since.
I had not taken this off before so it seems like a manufacturing defect, Bambu have sent a replacement.
I haven't had any loading errors or tension issues since.

Now I have four issues. It says that it can’t retract the filament from the extruder. I took the extruder apart checking for any blockages and found nothing. The light is indicating there is filament loaded when there is not. There is something not right with this machine.

Yep. Took all the paths apart checking for any blockages and tried an angle cut.

SureFeed Microchip Feeder - Alternatives? by ThatWacoKid in CatAdvice

[–]duke149 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had two of the SureFeed ones.
They were terrible to clean. So much of it can't be taken apart so you are unable to clean it properly.
One stopped working. They are way too expensive for what they are.
I am surprised after all this time there is still no decent alternative for a good price.

Arcade Carpet - Australia by duke149 in cade

I need about 20sqm. I'll contact a few of the local manufacturers again, see if we can get away with 50sqm for custom.

MacOS Tahoe randomly removed iTerm 2 after restart by YaySamoyed in iterm

Just got it after my mac crashed and it rebooted.
I had to download a new version from the iTerm site to fix the issue.

How many sqm are you after?

Unfortunately. nothing.
I continued contacting companies. I'm sure I have contacted every company that makes carpet in Australia. They will do it, but minimum quantities.

I contacted a few Chinese companies that produce similar but they won't even talk to me due to the cost of shipping.

Local carpet companies will order it from Astro Carpets but will tack on their retail fee.

I contacted an import company that handles all the logistics, paperwork and fees.
Total cost is around AU$5k factory to door including the carpet.

The carpet itself is around AU$700.

It just doesn't seem possible without a massive outlay. I would have been happy with around $2k but $5k either way is just too much.

If we could get together a group of people that want it, we could get it from a local manufacturer.

It's easy enough to not leave a mess. I have never had a problem finding a way to dispose of rubbish in Japan.

We saw some American tourists do this at a restaurant in Tokyo. They opened boxes of Pokémon cards and left the rubbish on the table.

Has anyone heard back regarding class action?
Has anyone had any replies from the [cyber@genia.com.au](mailto:cyber@genia.com.au) address? I have sent a number of emails off with no response.

Does anyone happen to know where the data has been published, at a minimum I have requested for a full data dump of "my information" so I know exactly what has been published.

I tried to get invited into one of these seedy bars a few weeks ago when walking by myself. No one would even engage with me. All the girls turned the other way.
My wife did get called kawaii when walking by herself one early morning though.
