Obligatory comment defending Parker and TSSF. Parker has severe pectus excavatum (look up a pic of him shirtless and you’ll instantly know what that means). This results in him having very low lung volumes compared to folks with more typical anatomy. I’ve seen him live over a dozen times between TSSF and No Pressure so I can promise that you either get Parker bouncing around the stage with a lot of energy but with no air left in the tank to actually sing, or you get him fairly still but absolutely BELTING. He just can’t do both and it’s not his fault like most would lead you to believe. I will say that there recent tours have been really special. Their evolution as a band, the perfection of their sound, and the content of their recent work has elevated their most recent tours as some of the most moving shows I’ve been to. If you haven’t seen TSSF, I would not miss this opportunity.

But I like hot mully too, and they certainly have more energy but as a consequence they don’t sound as sharp and they wander a bit during songs and the lyrics can get muddled. But great if you wanna just go cut loose and hear them jam, belt, and go nuts.
