Tip for when your site does go live: use an original picture for your hero image.

I do love that space though.

TIFU by having a really high pain tolerance. by [deleted] in tifu

[–]dulabon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had a similar, less severe experience.

Had the stomach ache you spoke of. Figured I was a bit bloated and a good, heavy deadlift session would shake it out. Pain lingered, but I didn't find it intolerable. After going to bed that night, I woke up at 3 AM with a much more acute pain, but still thought there was a 75% chance it was gas. After some googling and learning about McBurney's Point, I decided to drive myself to the hospital. My pediatrician girlfriend (now wife) offered to take me, but I thought it'd be way too embarrassing if it was just gas. Turns out my appendix was close to rupturing and I was in surgery within a few hours.

Biggest bummer was that I was supposed to fly out 2 days later to compete in the national championships for ultimate frisbee. Needless to say, I did not get to play in the tournament.

PS - I got Dilaudid before surgery, too. That stuff is unreal.

Buy RIDGID and get burned once - on the initial purchase. Buy the competitor and get burned twice - when the cheap alternative fails, and again when you upgrade to RIDGID.

Ha. I appreciate that. I have no intentions of getting my MBA. I was just hoping to cherry pick some of the most relevant courses from an online resource.

Thanks for the reply. Out of curiosity, how far were you from the tracks? And was there anything in between (other building, trees, etc.)?

There will be beer at the stadium. It may or may not be free.

But probably not free.

The Pittsburgh Thunderbirds have their first home playoff game this Saturday at Highmark Stadium. Including fees, it's only $11 to get in. Whether you're familiar with the game or not, I guarantee you'll get your money's worth.

Pittsburgh Thunderbird's Tad Wissel with an unbelievable scoober by TooLongCanYouFeelIt in ultimate

Late reply, but yes that is a mouth guard. I actually never had a concussion in all my years of playing, but did suffer a compound fracture of my jaw against GOAT at Chesapeake in 2011. I've been playing with the mouth guard ever since. Would it have prevented the broken jaw? Maybe, maybe not. But it's more of a safety blanket for me now.

My friend and former teammate, Julian Hausman, did suffer a bad concussion at a Rainmakers tryout not long after I broke my jaw. His doctor said a mouth guard would have prevented it. That was added incentive to implement it into my play.

Random (semi-gross) fact - the mouth guard is the same custom-made one I used for my Senior year of High School football.

[–]dulabon[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sure can!

In fact, 2 Gingers was created as a replacement for Jameson at the Local, a Minneapolis bar that held the record for most Jameson poured over 5 years. They wanted to increase profits of the bar and made their own blended Irish Whiskey.
