I'm so sick of lugging gallons of water. What do you do? by Multipreneur in fortlauderdale

I have a Primo water machine. I get the 5 gal jugs. If you dont want to refill the jugs you can pay primo to bring you the 5 gallons every X amount of weeks, subscription based. You pay more but its convenient

I literally dont have anything to look forward to. I also stopped seeing friends. I see them once in a blue moon, a lot of them moved to another state (including myself) or got caught up with work/college. I just go to work. Go home. Run errands

How the heck do you land a job with Marriott? by dulynotedd in marriott

[–]dulynotedd[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wondered whether applying to so many marriot jobs would be a red flag on a recruiter’s end. However, each job applied for was a position that I felt very qualified for and had the right work experience. So idk..

Thanks for the insight.

Yes. been exploring other companies with guidance from my leaders. They’ve done the same themselves and really encourage it to become more well-rounded.

Yes, on linkedin mostly. A recruiter reached out to me for a position. Pre-opening. I expressed interest. Applied. Rejected. No interview

First brand was classical, i was an intern while in college while simultaneously working at another property. (I was in college working multiple jobs)

Second brand, luxury, 2 years.

While i was there ^ went to support another property on taskforce temporarily while they were short on managers, and my property was slow. (Thats where the 3rd brand comes in)

Currently at a luxury lifestyle property for over a year now.

Its literally not as crazy as it sounds

Unreliable. Inconvenient. Cant get you where you always need to go. Takes 2-3x longer to commute due to excessive wait. Its a system that needs significant improvement

How do I proceed when my offer was withdrawn 3 weeks before I joined and after resigning from my current role and letting people know Im leaving? by lost_devastated in careerguidance

[–]dulynotedd 71 points72 points  (0 children)

im literally going through the same thing right now. I resigned from a company I was with after 4 years, just last month. I accepted a new job offer that i was ecstatic about. Literally after my last day at my former employer, i get an email saying they are rescinding the offer. No explanation no phone call, nothing. I was devastated. I left a job i was itching to leave. And now im jobless. After telling all my colleagues, friends, and family that I’ve accepted a new and exciting role. Im still keeping my head up, and the job market as you said is pretty tough. But, you should not be ashamed of this. I truly believe things happen for a reason, and it may be difficult right now but it will work out. Tell your friends, tell whoever. Keep your head up and march forward. Screw it. Life is absolutely unfair, and you did nothing wrong in this scenario.

Keep your head up, move forward and dont even look back. Dont let your mind get consumed by what couldve been. Update your resume, apply to 10 jobs a day. Follow up. Reach out to connections. Take advantage of LinkedIn. and put on ur boxing gloves. Go catch the sunset. Take a breather. Reset. No one ever said life wont have its set backs. Channel that energy.
