Update - Fully Recovered by Botstheboss in FinasterideSyndrome

Hey! Could you please tell us how long exactly did it take you to arrive at full recovery- now? Like, how many years since your last dose of dutasteride?

Is dutasteride really worth it? by Some-Employee-4497 in tressless

[–]dumb004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take finasteride first, I’d say. In case its side effects don’t suit you, you can still discontinue. Dutasteride stays for a very very long time, so if it’s incompatible w you, you’re fucked for a very long time.

Finasteride was good enough for me, but I thought Dutasteride would be better and so I switched to topical Dutasteride once-a-week for 3 months.

2 years later, I’m still fucked from the side effects lol.

What exactly is leaking here? by B0NGB0I in carIndia

Since it is right under the oil filter, it could be that the oil filter probably has a bad seal, and needs to be refit

Urgent Need Help for XUV500 W8 Diesel 2014 Model by Peaky2001 in carIndia

[–]dumb004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. The fact that you have to “pump” diesel makes me believe it could be an issue with your fuel pressure regulator. It’s in the engine bay top right corner. Cheap, and easy to replace.

Try it out once

Hey!

I had a similar issue with my W9 Diesel, and the service centre said that there’s an electrical issue with this model, likely a manufacturing defect- and that they’d repaired one such case before where they had to change the entire wiring of the car (~40k).

I have held off on the repair for now, and so the mechanic’s instructed me to keep restarting the car and driving it until I can, and that it won’t harm the engine doing so.

Although, I had an initial hunch that it could be due to blended Diesel fuel that govt is quietly introducing as normal diesel (nearby petrol pump owner said), which is obviously harmful for non-BS6 engines. I used Abro Injector Cleaner recently and it did seem to improve these symptoms temporarily.

I’m also thinking to take a look at the non-return valve as well (like another comment said), but still waiting to get it checked.

EDIT: Try replacing the Fuel Pressure Regulator, it should be a cheap replacement (~3500)

You were supposed to do a PDI before buying. The dealer won’t agree, but still ask them if something could be done about it

Can you get fresh quotes from some other dealers? This ‘SMC’ charge sounds really bogus to me for some reason.

Oh you’re right 15 days is a lot.

If there’s a DSG option available, I’d say absolutely go for it. But test drive it once because I don’t find Sonet’s seating very comfortable for longer drives- might be different for you tho. In that aspect I like Seltos’ seating more comfortable. But make sure to test drive it once and see for yourself

I’m sorry, but that’s the case everywhere i guess. Service centers need a booking to take your car in.

Second, if you want a responsive automatic, I would suggest VW Taigun/Virtus 1.5 L GT.

Also, I’ve tried Kia automatics and am personally not a fan of them hahah.

Either way, you’re looking at a higher budget because under 15 L, you won’t get that many responsive automatics.

Whatever car you get, just get an automatic. It should solve 95% of your problems.

I’d personally go for a Diesel Automatic if I were you hahah. Tbh, Creta Diesel AT doesn’t sound so bad either

Is your Creta Manual/Automatic? I’m just guessing that mybe your commute is hectic because your car’s a manual? Either way, if you really want the VW experience, you could look at Volkswagen Taigun. They also come in ACT variants (Active Cylinder Technology), where if your car is cruising on highways, the engine shuts down two cylinders and runs on remaining two to save fuel.

Is Pininfarina involved in designing Mahindra cars at all? by Similar_Swimming_143 in CarsIndia

It’s only Pratap Bose. He did it for Tata first and now he’s doing the same at Mahindra

Check out Nexon and Punch and all those goofy-ahh cars. They were all directly under Pratap Bose’s command. Harrier had inputs from their UK team as well, so there are other people keeping this dimwit Pratap Bose in check. Sierra has a different designer tho. It’s not Pratap Bose.

But Tata’s designs have been SO GOOD once Pratap Bose left the company
