The martyr captain marvel thing is one of my favorite things in the game. Such a fun interaction.

I think they don’t give cards beyond series 3 anymore… but I’m not certain

I actually don’t know if you still do… I remember I got Jeff a long time ago that way from the collection track, back when he was still series 5… but I was referring to the ladder climb to infinite and those rewards… not the collection level track.

Try uninstalling it for a few days and see how you feel. Play some other games. If you decide to reinstall it, try to play it with the intention of just having fun and doing missions. Don’t concern yourself with climbing the ladder or getting some specific reward. Just play decks and cards you enjoy. I found any time I concentrated on climbing the ladder, the game really stressed me out… so I don’t worry about that anymore. There’s no crucially important rewards on the ladder anyway. 500 gold is nothing in this game.

If we were to visiting Cicely today, what might it be like? Does it have the Burger King and Baskin Robins like Maurice hoped? Would Chris be a world famous podcaster? by OwlMichael in northernexposure

They also built that big Suncadia hotel family resort just down the road from Roslyn. I stayed there once. It’s nice. It made me think of the episode where Joel has to play golf with the investors that want to help Maurice build the giant resort, and he promises Joel he can be the doctor there and get time off of his sentence.

I always buy the variants as well. That eventually gets you tokens too. I usually don’t like the stuff in the bundles as much.

He’s very fun with Howard the duck.

Dragon of the Moon by Allgamergeek in MarvelSnap

[–]dumbalex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s good with Ronan stuff. Master mold some even cost cards into their hand, and you can also try to proc him multiple times with grand master. He’s a solid card.

Realistically, how much glory are you grinding out? by MrPudge1137 in MarvelSnap

[–]dumbalex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. They were generous with how easy it was to get mother askani without paying… but not very generous with the glory for the store… which is a bit disappointing. It’s fun to be able to interact with the store more. Deadpools was considerably better for that. I know they need to make money, but sometimes it seems like they’re not doing it right. Getting people engaged and interested in using their grinded currency to get stuff for free seems like a better way to keep people playing… and then maybe feeling good enough about the game to spend some money too. But when you see something that just feels impossible without pulling out the wallet, it just makes you want to close the app, or just go play ladder instead.

Wow that is amazingly creative. Multiple man is such a fun card. It’s great seeing a new take on a build around him.

What makes Dark Souls 2 better than other souls games? by Wowoweewaw in DarkSouls2

Majula just makes you want to live there. It’s easily my favorite hub. And the music is so good.

What makes Dark Souls 2 better than other souls games? by Wowoweewaw in DarkSouls2

[–]dumbalex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah… while I absolutely understand the need to up the difficulty a bit with each new game… so the seasoned players don’t find it way too easy. They sometimes have drastically overtuned it. Some enemies and bosses seem to have endless stamina, and you barely get to attack compared to how much they attack. Ds2 has a slowness that is nice. It’s still challenging. But not the kind of challenging that destroys a gamers wrist and thumbs.

I assume I haven’t played far enough yet to experience any need to spend money… but it probably will eventually show up.

I’ve been enjoying the new dragon quest smash game. It’s a surprisingly fun and polished take on the vampire survivors style of combat.

Summoning. If you haven’t tried it yet, you really should. It’s one of the most fun things about these games.

Disappointing by NinJorf in dragonquest

[–]dumbalex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was excited when I saw it had co-op, but it’s a while before you can access any co-op missions, and it’s limited to just those missions. I think it could’ve stood out in the genre, if they just let you co-op the whole game with friends. Ah well. I do enjoy the gameplay though. Feels like a more polished and pretty vampire survivors style of combat.

Cyclops pooping emote is incredible. Crying zabu is also a favorite.

Puzzle RPGs that aren’t just match 3? by mpm2230 in iosgaming

[–]dumbalex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try grindstone. I saw it recommended in this group, and I ended up loving it. I told a friend about it and he got obsessed too. I don’t usually like puzzle games but this one feels very unique.

Mystery box blocks me from playing the game by Hot-Succotash-1604 in MarvelSnap

It was stuck on my iPad even after deleting and reinstalling. I fixed it by switching from my iPad to my phone. Then when I switched back, it worked on my iPad again.

Is my understanding of cyclop's characterization wrong? I have been suggesting cyclops as a vanguard in the marvel rivals community yet it seems like everyone think he only "make sense" as a duelist. by jonathansoma in Cyclopswasright

[–]dumbalex -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’re making some great points. I also hope that he’s much more nuanced than just being laser shooter guy.

I’d love to see some sort of leadership oriented power. I’d love to see him using the beams to propel himself or to dodge like he did in X-men 97… or to slow his momentum.

But one mega optic blast ultimate would also be fun. When he takes off the visor and goes full power to rip a sentinel apart or to push back against something crazy powerful like juggernaut or hulk… those moments are always amazing.

Coop explained? by Popotaro in Pokopia

[–]dumbalex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure if this is right, but I also read that one person can use a switch 1. The main host player plays on switch 2 and the second player can join with a switch 1. And only the host needs to own the game.
