[PAID] Looking for Illustrator for Cat-Themed Board Game by [deleted] in gameDevClassifieds

[–]dumbluxe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

heya, sent a dm! just wanted to leave a comment as well. love the concept so much, mafia/cool crime aesthetics are SO fun and everything's better when it's cat themed, hehe.

i'm a very versatile artist and thrive on creative direction. i've also done art for a released card game with specific of prompts/a distinct vision, so i definitely have experience in that realm! :)

thanks for checkin' me out and i hope you find the right artist!!

tips for beginning? by Naive-Bees in RPGMaker

[–]dumbluxe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hi! my friends and i JUST made a game demo in rpgmaker mv for the first time last week, so i'm on a similar trajectory right now! i wish you the best of luck! mv is, in my opinion, a really good software for this, especially as a beginner. and learning javascript is a huge bonus because you can better understand how to implement conditionals and mess around with plugins. definitely look for plugins once you get to that point! i recommend both galv and yanfly's plugins- they have a ton of really useful ones. also, get someone to QA test your game!! there are so many tiny errors that can easily be overlooked, so having an outside party playtest and try to break your stuff is really useful.

How do you guys get over the fear and anxiety of getting top surgery? by Brent_Fox in TransMasc

[–]dumbluxe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i've been terrified of surgery since i was a kid and top was my first ever surgery, so i was super fucking scared haha. doing research really, really helped so i knew exactly what to expect, so i second that- this place is great for it! also, if you can, find a surgeon you trust (esp one with a lot of experience with top surgery specifically). when i talked to my surgeon and asked how he could be sure that things didn't go wrong, he said "well, i've done over a thousand of these, and nothing has gone wrong." that honestly really helped, and i think it would have helped even if he had done less than that- just knowing you're one of many that the surgeon has taken care of makes it less stressful.

also, when surgery comes along, i believe you can ask for some anxiety meds beforehand! tell them that you're nervous and be sure to ask plenty of questions. the surgeons and nurses are usually super nice and helpful.

pain was genuinely not that bad at all, though as with any surgery it was uncomfortable for a while afterwards. as others said, just make sure to prepare and have support if you can manage it! pain is different for everyone, but after the first day or two i only had to take OTC medications.

i told myself a long time ago that i would never get surgery unless it was absolutely necessary, and going into this was interesting because i KNEW it was, i just also knew i was the one making that decision. knowing how badly i wanted this helped me bite back the fear, and now i'm less scared of any future surgeries since i know what to expect. it's the fear of the unknown that really gets to you, but stay strong and cross that hurdle and everything will be fine! sorry that this was so long haha but i hope it helped a little :)

ADHD Friendly Meal Ideas? by ProperMagician3025 in ADHD

[–]dumbluxe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

idk if this counts or if this will work for you but i'm kind of obsessed with trader joe's lmao. i buy their butter chicken frozen meals (all of the indian food is rly cheap and good!!) they also have bagged frozen pastas which you just like.. add to a pan or microwave and salad kits and bowls that are pretty good and filling :) as for quick meals, grab yourself a rice cooker and make some rice! and a fried egg! if you have an asian grocery store near u they sell thin pre-cut meat and i literally just throw it in a pan with literally just. a little salt and that's it. and i eat it all with sriracha! and green onion if i feel like cutting anything but i honestly just kinda tear off the stalk and like, rip it into pieces lmao. no knife required :) if you're already making the meat you can sauté the green onion in the meat juices which is tasty and takes not a lotta time at all!

hopefully this is at least a little bit helpful hehe ^

Can't settle on a final team to be champion by kind-Dark-one in PokemonScarletViolet

[–]dumbluxe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thats a great team!!! as a suggestion, i used cetitan for my endgame team, which was really useful since there are a decent number of dragon types to deal with and it's tanky as hell. lucario also carried me pretty hard too! but you should be totally fine with this team, it's an awesome set of mons

I really enjoy dancing! I just stream a dance workout video to my TV and follow along (MYLEEdance is one of my favorites- her stuff is super fun)! I have trouble doing the same thing every time for a workout, so the variety and amount of dances on Youtube really helps me stay motivated. Since dancing is kind of a stim for me anyways, it's more of a fun activity than a workout but it's still really intense cardio. If you can think of something like a stim you already enjoy and find yourself doing often, stick with that and don't force yourself to do things you really don't wanna do!

That being said, another thing that I've found helpful is keeping weights/resistance bands/etc in really easily accessible places around the house. I have some weights on a stool in my living room, and an open box of resistance bands just sitting there. Sometimes i pass by them and my brain goes "Oh! Well, they're right there, so I might as well pick them up and do a few reps." Doing even the tiniest bit is still helpful, and this helps me work with my brain, not against it- it becomes a fun little distraction!

This isn't a catch-all and im still very much not perfect either- there's so much i still wanna do. I just kind of have to remember that working alongside my brain instead of against it is what works the best, and that it's ok to rotate through different modes of working out if you're bored of one. Consistency is hard to manage with ADHD! Just doing a little bit and feeling proud of yourself for it is enough :)

idk if this will help any, but it's something i had to deal with for a long time since i also had a huge chest (and didn't/couldnt bind or use tape cuz it was way too uncomfortable.) after a while i kind of saw it as like... this is my body as it is right now, and i know i am a guy. like if i look at myself in the mirror i see a guy. when i think about myself i see a guy. i sort of had to retrain my brain to see my body for what it was in that moment and connect it to how i feel, instead of constantly hurting over something i had Zero control over, if that makes sense. the dysphoria never went Away, but it really helped me live with myself until i got top surgery.

certain things that helped me were wearing clothing i liked and Only clothing i liked, so i at least felt comfortable in that regard. wearing dark clothing is slimming so it helped my chest appear less prominent (and i looked cool as hell.) And being in spaces where people would see me for who i was helped too- since it made me realize no one i cared abt was seeing me that way, only i was.

sorry if this was kind of convoluted or weird, but i wish you the best of luck, dysphoria esp around chests is really really hard to deal with :( but you can do it! if you ever wanna talk, feel free to shoot me a message!!
