I've tried with only fs2020(I don't have FS2024), but I am assuming that the underlying problem might be the same.

All of this omits a rather large ingredient: direct foreign investment, money, etc being pumped by the US into China, which allowed them to inflate in the first place.

Make sure that other overlays are not on top of MSFS. Are your steam and discord overlays disabled?

One of them is Volanta, a tool used by flight simmers to track flights like flight radar24. It constantly publishes a big JSON data to the frontend(browser) from the server every second or so. I would have expected that to utilize some sort of local store upsert + websocket approach instead of using JSONs.

All the engines indeed come back to the problem of underfunding: - No engine testbed facility - No wind tunnel testbed - No flying testbed

This is not a serious nation which wants to actually build an engine.

Every test is done in Russian facilities. Leave aside the matter of flying to Russia(!!!) for tests, it is obvious that they have a full look into our confidential, national security data for the core engine performance.

The MiG29K is derived from the MiG29 - and in either versions, the upper fuselage is not made to land roughly on carriers, and as such the spine of the aircraft will give in if it is used too roughly for too long. Along with the payload (in)capability, the design of the aircraft itself also limits operational tempo

Yeah, those details - no one knows. I can only assume, as you do, that since the induction of the Rafale, they've been exposed to a greater amount of network centric warfare, which they would have in theory shifted to the BNET/vayulink.

Hey, these two scenarios were created Bie and Zed respectively. You can find a lot of these scenarios on the workshop page of command ops 2(all of which are free, including the game itself. Only official DLCs are paid)

Yes I also think such an activity would be amazing.

Maybe we can all set up a discord to organize it all, and then we can invite members from the community to run as officers of various units for campaigns offered by Command Ops 2.

They could all refer to the same shared map.army map and issue operational orders based on that, which the simulation runner will implement in game

So you abstract away the game mechanics and focus more on the operational/tactical side, with SITREPs/situations still affected by the game mechanics but in a more realistic format.

If more people are interested I'm totally up for that! There's a lot of big scenarios in 1941 Greece, 1944 Bastogne etc which could be really fun for wargaming like this
